The directors commentary for this was great. I would love a ZAZ biopic. Tons od great facts, like they rented the movie studio from a guy they paid in cocaine, or that jim was going to change his full name to Jim zucker abrahams zucker if the guild said no to letting all 3 get a directors credit. Or how their movie premiere was just at some guys house.

Also the film's first cut was like 3-4 hours but they would show the film at various colleges and whenever a joke didnt land they would cut it out, thata why this film is like 75 minutes. Comedys nowadays would be 10 minutes long if they did that now

Whenever I watch one two things generally happen most...1. Everyone has Robert Stack's voice...which makes it a most interesting if surreal watch. 2. The music to Unsolved Mysteries randomly plays especially when Leslie Nielsen has something to say or do...which makes this kinda the first Naked Gun yet he ain't quite Frank Drebin yet. It also makes sure I'm glued to the fucking set when I have this on. Love it and even Part 2 is a riot.

I remember reading that studio execs wanted Jerry Lewis to be in the movie because they didn't understand why the filmmakers wanted to put in actors not known for comedy like Lloyd Bridges and Leslie Nielson. I'm glad ZAZ stuck to their guns.

I Don't think they're going to try and purge this yet... But it's possible they might try and do it to Father Ted because it's creator said the most henious thing on twitter....

Comedy in the current year is a miserable, sad, boring and outright depressing affair... Airplane is *VERY* tame though.
I'd wager that the very people that support the fact that shows and movies are being scrubbed and attempted memoryhole'd have never watched said movies.
