Alex Jones v. Brianna Wu, Andy Kimmel, & The Young Turks, LLC - Withdrawn by Plaintiff Jones in January, 2020.

The show is literally named after the faction that perpetrated the genocide. Imagine a right wing talk show calling itself the Auschwitz Camp Guards.

Cenk thinks the Armenians had that genocide coming, too.

In fairness to him, he did eventually acknowledge the Armenian genocide...in 2017, when he was 47 years old. And it was only after pressure from his fanbase essentially made him do it, so the sincerity of his acknowledgement is fairly questionable. On the other hand, he still keeps calling the show The Young Turks, so he might have just decided that the genocide occurred, but was a good thing.

I frankly don't really care about the name of the show, in and of itself, since the "Young Turks" name has been applied neutrally to any number of subsequent political factions, but if you're going to pick a name of a group that un-woke I'm not going to take you at all seriously preaching about all kinds of bullshit that makes you get triggered and reeeee.

Honestly, the only reason why I find the show's name amusing is because of his history denying the Armenian genocide. It's like, you could pick any name in the world, and you pick one that directly connects to something in your past that is both easy to find and would look bad to your new progressive pals? On top of that, in spite of everything about his past political views he was willing to publicly disavow, he was always so eager to deflect whenever the topic came up.

I suppose, in retrospect, it was one of the first of many signs of Cenk's exceptionalism.

I like a lolsuit like this because I literally couldn't care less what happens to any of the litigants at all, so there's zero chance of any bad feels. Both litigants could catch on fire and fucking explode and it would be nothing but a big gag to me.

If we lived in a true and just world, the first Judge handed this mess would order all litigants to be set afire, just because.

@AnOminous What do campaign finance laws say about fundraising for your legal bills on the campaign trail?

Also does Wu have a duty to retract if the paper she republished makes a retraction or is she still covered by section 230?

irregaurdless
die in a fire.

Odds are good it doesn't even get that far anyway. However, if it gets thrown out for jurisdiction and Jones refiles in Massachusetts, it might apply, because unlike the Fifth Circuit, the First Circuit has held that state SLAPP laws (or at least that of Maine) applies in federal court in diversity cases in a 2010 case.

The case followed by the Fifth Circuit, though, itself followed a D.C. Circuit case authored by none other than Brett Kavanaugh, so any circuit split will be resolved at least in part by Kavanaugh himself.
So what does the tcpa look like in Massachusetts? What are the odds of Jones getting past that on the murder threats and section 230?

Finally got around watching the infowars episode from the day of the lolsuit.
Rather disappointed since he only talked about the lolsuit in a general sense instead of going into detail on the people he's suing.
Couldn't see Brianna Wu's visage or even clips from TYT in the two episodes after it so I guess we'll have to wait until there's a court date so we can hear him call Brianna Wu a mutant.
Clearly we need Null to come on and correct the record.

That's not the first time I've heard "America deserved 9/11". At my work, we had a moment of silence and the company stupidly allowed people to speak about 9/11. Mind, you we weren't any where near NY or DC, so I don't know why people needed to speak about it. One guy got up there and ranted about how God was punishing America for gay people. I never heard if he got fired for that, but he should have been. Not just because it was offensive, but because it was really fucking stupid to get up in front of everyone and say something like that at a company function.

America deserving 9/11 ONLY makes sense if it turns out mostly Jews died. Otherwise... I won't tolerate it. And I must go on record and say 9/11 was cringe and bluepilled.

Says the socialist retarded oxygen waste.
Good, consequences, here they are.

Also am I the only one that finds it funny, that Alex Jones being called a "conspiracy theorist" by idiotic lefties making up conspiracies?
It's also fallacious to dismiss any statement as a conspiracy. Just because Cenk is a fat brown turkroach buffalo doesn't mean he can't make statements on the Armenian Genocide which he still denies.

TYT makes up conspiracies all the fucking time.

The Jew cries out in pain well they strike you. It is no surprise that leftists would accuse you of harming children, through no fault of your own, well they peddle for things like partial birth abortions. Video attached for your education (NSFW)

If we want this lawsuit to go to discovery, it's probably for the best Jones doesn't sperg out about super heavy intergalactic stuff directly related to the case. As much as calling Wu a demonic mutant alien-spawn might be true, that kind of talk is liable to make a judge look at it and throw out the whole thing.

i think it's pretty likely that a judge will look at john and come to his own conclusion that he's a demonic mutant alien-spawn
