Recently, a certain trusted individual and I came across a truly exceptional individual. Alexis Clinton, also known as Thespia-Rose, is a 23 year old autistic female and self proclaimed "child in a grown-up's body" who still believes in her childhood heroes, most notably Rudolph. Was skimming something and, uhhh...

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, has been my first, and true best friend, for as long as I can remember. I remember the first time I saw him.

It all started on my fifth Christmas in 1997. A special came on tv and I was excited. Sam the Snowman began to tell the story of Rudolph.

There was a cave where a baby reindeer had just been born. When Rudolph lifted his head and open his eyes, to me, it was love at first sight.

When his red nose glowed, it made me love him even more. When his father covered his nose with the dirt of the cave, Rudolph seemed troubled and turned to me.

When he did, a magical spark of energy shocked from my eyes to his. That moment had created a permnament bond between us. Rudolph is my truest best friend he loves everything I do. He loves me no matter what even through the bad times.

He listens to me. He understands me better then anybody. He goes where I go. We do everything together. He's the doll I always sleep with at night.

I always love talking to him. We tell each other everything. And I know he's real. I know he is.

My stories all have the look that a five year old would write I don't think even an English teacher would read them. Why does Veggie Tales always attract the mega-creepy autists?

(never watched the show, just curious)

I grew up with the shows and I'm not immediately sure.

I know growing up alot of people would frame VeggieTales as one of those cartoons that are for kids with alot of jokes for the adults, except Christian so it got whored out alot among evangelical types (someone I know once compared it to South Park of all things)

But now that I think about it kids who watch veggie tales are often quite sheltered. And those kids usually have a really hard time adjusting to the real world.

For example one girl I know who grew up in the same church I did messaged me complaining the other day that her professor was discussing being hung over and used the phrase "half cocked." It's hard to even describe how disturbed she was by something so benign.

And these people have to deal with the real world, and you can imagine how well that's going. And they're human beings so they have sexual urges that they're probably not expressing in any healthy way so it manifests itself into disgusting veggie tales shit.

That could be it.

I have a friend very much like Alexis/Thespia, except that she's twice her age, obsesses about saving the world via sex with celebrities instead of the "realness" of childhood icons, and broadcasts her delusional erotic-Messianic fantasies all over Facebook.
