Unfortunately, it's not going to have PVP Alien VS Marine mode. Huge, colossal, epic missed opportunity. Just . I'm shocked. Even Colonial Marines had a PVP mode. Fucking Colonial Marines. Every single AVP game for PC had a PVP mode and yes, even the 2010 game.

This is an easy skip for me and it's sad because it looked good despite the 3 player limitation. Not to mention faggots are defending this by saying it wouldn't be balanced and it's clear they never played the other AVP games because they were never balanced but they were fun as fuck.

Actually its a dodged bullet. Else it will wind up like Destiny 2 really quick since most devs don't understand how to implement separate game modes for actual PVE/PVP balance these days and don't care to. with the ever growing cacophony of weaponized autism of people wanting unfair balances and developer resources and manpower to completely gut the viability of over 90% of the game before fucking off to go ruin something else over twatter.

They were fun as fuck in PVE, not PVP. Its why the game side of the franchise was never known for PVP besides maybe AVP2 and any remnants of those communities almost exclusively play the PVE game modes like Bughunt that are actually fun.

I can tell you that you're very much mistaken. People played Species death match and team games. The horde modes were good in AVP 1 and 2. 2 more so. But people didn't exclusively play just horde mode.

I'm kind of torn on PVP being dropped in favor of it being PVE only. If the game has mod tools and modders can create new maps and scenarios, then this game will have a future longer than a couple months. If not, the shelf life won't be long at all and probably not worth picking up.

That being said, I don't think the game is worth $40 without PVP. Definitely not fucking worth $70 for their "deluxe".

It's Unreal Engine. There's no way it will have mod tools. There's a stipulation with UE games that if they have mod tools it then it has to use assets that are not using UE's assets or some shit.

Same. Or, if they patch in PVP. It's that simple. You can't sell an Aliens game in CURRENT YEAR with less features than previous games at $70.

If you want a good Aliens game check out the overlooked Aliens Infestation on the DS by Way Forward.

The only trouble with that game is it's billed as a "Metroidvania" but those elements are actually pretty mild, it's mostly pretty linear levels, but still a really cool game.

Yeah I would say the game is worth $40 for the deluxe if they are going the EA route of rebranding to "Aliens: fireteam elite" and shilling gold weapon skins that no one ever cared about, and $20 for the basegame. Though they at least tried to make original aliens enemies. But its not the same without the predators in some form. (though its not an AVP game.)
