Snowflake Alivia D'Andrea / @aliviadandrea - sugar fixated, weight obsessed ED sufferer in denial

This is my first OP, so let me know if there's anything to improve on.

Alivia D'Andrea is a youtuber with humble beginnings. Some years ago her videos were primarly focused on flexibility stretches and travel vlogs. None of it is very interesting or Lolcow worthy. There are two videos of note however which display the pseudo-intelluctalism we will have to hear in her current content. She is increasingly becoming more embarrassing with each video with eating disorder denial, giving rampant misinformation and following broscience.

This video is the general "be yourself, believe in yourself, don't listen to others"bs. It's a little cringy but harmless. Especially since Alivia is only sixteen here. The thing with Alivia though is that this sperg about dreams and following your heart never ends. No matter how bad she is doing, no matter how unqualified she is, you are bound to get advice from Alivia deep throated into you.

Apparently this video won Alivia first prize at her school's film festival for this. Nothing more to say than just cringe.

In 2018, Alivia began a series on her Youtube Channel called "The Glow Up Diaries". The intention of this was to show her glow up journey with the appeal that many could relate. Here is the Glow Up Diaries Season One Trailer:

If you can't be bothered to watch it, or tried to and cringed too hard, a brief summary is that Alivia had really bad acne, a bit of fat and wanted to "glow up" mentally and physically. In this we see that Alivia is starting to fixate on weight and her unhealthy eating habits but here it just seems like a pretentious girl filming her "life journey". One thing that has always struck me is that for someone who hates themselves, Alivia sure does like gross close ups of her face.

Here is a small timeline of what happened during that season: (there's also a more detailed timeline below covering each episode)
  • Alivia wants to loose weight and get rid of acne
  • Starts exercising and working out
  • Binge eats
  • Get rejected from every college and settles for one in California
  • Restricts
  • Binge eats
  • Restricts
  • Binge Eats
  • Visits Shanghai where she restricts, then binge eats
  • Drops out of college and decides to study in Taiwan
  • Restricts
  • Binge Eats
  • Finish
Episode 1

You would expect a glow up diary to be about mental challenges as well as physical ones but nope. In Episode one, you recieve the usual obvious advice from Alivia delivered in her signature obnoxious know-it-all way. The episode is primarily focused on food. Who am I kidding? It's all about food. The funniest part of this is that Alivia tells her fans to do things like watch a vegan documentary and other such nonsense when even two years after this upload, she still doesn't have her shit together. Note: Alivia acts like the documentaries she watched changed her life and will repeat this behaviour despite not changing her habits.

Episode 2

This episode is rather boring and if you're going through this highly edited, disguised mess you can probably skip it. It's just Alivia gushing about how different her (eating) habits are. You might be spotting a pattern here where Alivia keeps giving what she believes to be inspirational advice despite only being successful for a week or two. She always seems to forget this advice and fails in the end. This episode is where Alivia begins her habit of slowly reading the definition of words like "willpower" to seem smart. It's grating. Oh, and there are THREE sponsors on this video.

Episode 3

Alivia binge eats on camera and cries about it. Her voice over gives even more advice. Blah, blah, blah. She works out. Then Alivia finds out she was rejected from her dream college. I'd say it's the first time in the series that Alivia is relateable, and sympathetic. And thankfully, there's no pandering advice about it. She also recommends skin care products and lists them in the description with affiliate links.

Episode 4

Not only was Alivia not accepted by her dream college, she was rejected from every single one. It seems she's not as smart as she makes herself out to be. Despite her affliliate linked products, Alivia's acne has returned. Alivia only uploads episodes months after filming which means she knew these products weren;t working in the long run, yet made affiliate links anyway. Blah Blah Blah. More acne advice + shilling her amazon links. Talks about being motivated - oh, wait. It's an audible sponsor. Nothing wrong with sponsors but the way Alivia places them seems very manipulative and predatory considering her young audience imo.

Alivia decides to take Accutane for her acne.

Near the end of the episode, Alivia flies out to Portland to be apart of some Nike campaign about how fat kids are.

Episode 5

Alivia goes grocery shopping. When Alivia gets home to make a meal, she alludes to the fact that she has to space out her meals as she finds it stops her binging. This is a common way of treating Binge Eating Disorder, which Alivia totes does not have because BED is just a mindset. Yeah, we'll get to that later. She makes healthy meals, and a healthy food sponsor.

Alivia goes dorm shopping. Another trait of Alivia's is exposed. She seems to have an inability to acknowledge how much her financial status helps her in life. Her parents are clearly in the upper middle class at least. A lot of her advice is buy clothes that make you feel good, buy $10 products for your skin, buy boho stuff to fill your new dorm room. This becomes even more prevalent as the series goes on.

Episode 6

This episode begins in Hawaii. Alivia informs us that she hasn't be following her Glow Up Journey to enjoy the small things... you know, like vacations in a beautiful Hawaiian villa. Afterwards she struggles to get back on track and resolves this by... going to Vegas? Yeah, totally relatable Alivia. Still being off track, she promotes Hello Fresh.

Episode 7

Alivia applies for the University of California and gets in. This episode is Alivia talking about the things she's doing before starting college. She gives advice on how there are many non-costly non-food rewards you can give yourself. Ironic. Gives advice on exercising which in all fairness, Alivia seems pretty consistent with. It's the food which gets her. Speaking of, Alivia binges again. Queue obnoxious advice about how hard moving an hour away from your parents is. Oh and they cut her off. Alivia acts as though this is a huge deal despite the fact that her Youtube channel is making her big bux. Between sponsors, ad revenue and affiliated links, it's pretty clear she is making a shit ton of money. I should mention at this stage that Alivia is only uploading an episode every few months and each one gets 1million + views. How will she ever make it?

Episode 8

Right in with a disclaimer from Alivia that she does not have an eating disorder. She just fell for diet culture... and has an unhealthy relationship with food. Not like those weirdos with eating disorders.

Alivia did loose weight but in the wrong way as she admits herself. She is increasingly obsessed with what is healthy and what is bad food. She even addresses that she was missing balance, which is confusing considering her latest content where she claims sugar is the root of all evil. Gives more tips because she is obviously qualified to do so as she refuses to acknowledge her disorder whether it's BED or Orthorexia or both. Works out even more. Her advice here isn't the worst but as someone who can't see when she has a toxic mindset toward food, giving food advice probably isn't the best option.

Alivia goes home and binges due to her extreme restriction. Woah, another sign of a binge eating disorder. Who woulda thunked.

Episode 9

Guess who is binging again? At this point, I have to wonder the point in this series. It's just bingeing, dieting with little life tidbits here and there. Anyway, Alivia and her dorm room mate seem to be restricting together. Among the comments of "yes, qween, get a netflix show" are some saying this behaviour seems like an eating disorder. One comment I saw described Alivia's friend like an "ana buddy". It doesn't seem far from accurate. Blah blah blah. More weight loss advice. This advice includes having snacks in moderation. If Alivia does have BED like many speculate there are certain foods she should be avoiding to reduce binges but Alivia knows best I guess.

Alivia always talks about how weight loss should be about health, but yet her actions always show it's about appearence. This is tiring.

Episode 10

Working out, planning, whatever. Alivia talks about how hard it is to edit youtube videos and claims that she edits everyday. Yeah, gonna doubt that. Anyway, she admits to obsessing over attention / views and it makes me wonder if she also obsessed over how money she could gain? More talk about portion control. As if we haven't heard it all over and over again. Weighs herself and is the heaviest weight she's ever been. Alivia talks about how bad her sugar cravings are. If you're curious, Alivia has restarted her weight loss journey five times now.

Family hides snacks from Alivia as she travels to Vegas with them again. Working out more. Alivia talks about how she didn't eat so she could then eat a fuck ton of dessert. Still, totes not Binge Eating Disorder.

Episode 11

Alivia can't fit into her old clothes sizes and gives more advice on weight loss. It's also exam week which Alivia uses as an excuse to binge. People with BED often binge because of stress. Does finals. If you haven't realised by now, as the episodes go on there is more footage but less actual content.

Episode 12

Alivia thinks about dropping out of college, so her and her friends buy tickets to Shanghai in a few days. This is where her audience really began to see her as unrelatable. Of course, this is Alivia's journey but at the beginning Alivia was just a girl trying to grow up a little. Now she's off on expensive trips. Oh, and this episode was released 5 months after the last one. Five months. Alivia drops out of college completely. How ever will our darling survive with rich parents and a high ass salary? More awful voice over.

Episode 13

Alivia reveals that since she paid her college for the semester already she's going to stay for another quarter. Seems retarded but whatever. Working out more. Admits she was primarly focused on weight loss but now she is totally being moderate. Has nightmares about binging.

Alivia cries about how on, yet another family trip, she had such a healthy relationship with food until mommy ruined it. Alivia's mother grew up with barely enough to eat so seeing Alivia binge makes her upset, understandably. Alivia claims she was eating everything (healthy and unhealthy) in moderation. She bubblers like a child and it's really pathetic. Her mom said to her "what's the point of trying to eat healthy after the way you've eaten this weekend". Boo hoo.

Episode 14

More working out. More dropping out of college. Nothing interesting.

Episode 15

Alivia decides to move to Asia and study there. Goes shopping and realises people aren't always as happy as they seem. She is such an advanced being. In this video Alivia says that season 2 will begin in October 2020. It only just began in January 2021. Makes some friends in Taiwan. Restricts and binges even more. Enjoying this successful journey yet? Begins considering blowing off friends to have a massive binge night. Gives even more advice.

Episode 16

More complaining about clothes not fitting and gaining weight. Admits binging is a stress reliever. More advice on how to deal with binging from the expert. Admits she exercises for the wrong reason and that she stops exercising during binges. Alivia cries about not loving herself.

Whilst all of this may make Alivia inconsistent and obsessed with weight, it doesn't make her worth a thread. What does is her most recent behaviour. Alivia has finally decided to bless us with season two. And she for sure has a better relationship with food this time guys, she promises.

It's almost forty minutes of whinging and moaning about her weight. And shilling out her new merch. Her fans by the end of season one were growing tired of her and the weight loss so to start a new season with weight loss, weight loss, weight loss wasn't the way to go. The whole video is pretty much promotion for the next video. More and more fans are now comfortable and confident with saying that it's pretty obvious Alivia has a eating disorder; something mental which weight loss isn't going to solve.

I bring to you episode two:

This one is a real cluster fuck. You have your general schtick of Alivia giving life changing advice. It goes on for twenty minutes until she begins to promote a personal trainer and the remaining twenty minutes is just a compilation of misinformation from Steve, her trainer. Alivia failed with Steve at first but is now succeeding with him and links his website in the description. According to this bro, sugar is what makes you gain weight, you need a symmetrical body and you need to starve the fat.

Comment 1.png

Comment 2.png

Comment 3.png

Comment 4.png

Alivia released this statement in her comment section and on her community tab address those who think this episode is a massive ad for Steve's website.

Alivia statement.png

Alivia often deflects critism by giving out inspiring platitudes and really speaking a shit ton without saying anything.

deflection 1.png

deflection 2.png

Of course the video had even more comments on her Binge Eating Disorder than the last one. The comments regarding that are pretty much the same as the last video's. Alivia released a statement on her community tab regarding the situation:

alivia statement 2.png

Her proof for not having an eating disorder is very flimsy. Someone on an ED hotline surely can't diagnose you. Some other farmers might have to clue into that one. But if you watched any of her videos (and if you haven't, I don't blame you) Alivia has said this all before over and over again. "I need to admit I'm weak". Every video is presented like she changed but she never does. Personally, I feel like Alivia is currently resenting her fans for telling her she has an ED instead of telling her what a skinny legend she is now. Not longer after this statement, Alivia released a video denying the ED and pretty much saying what she did in her statement.

Yeah, not everyone was convinced.

comment 2 - 2.png

comment 2 -4.png

comment 2 -5.png

Among this comment section was a very interesting comment denying the existence of Binge Eating as a disorder. However, the really interesting part is Alivia's response.
alivia on bed.png

There are comments trying to correct Alivia which she has ignored entirely. Something tells me she wouldn't put this. Also, she fails to adress the misinformation by the trainor.

I found this clip from an Instagram Live she did. She seems to think fasting will cure binge eating. This girl thinks restriction will help binges but also says restrictions are what cause binges. This video is super condscending as she is offering advice to the binge eating community whilst believing their disorder is just their fault not a mental illness. Oh, and she congratulates someone called "simply ana" on restricting for 10 hours then barely eating,

And this brings us to where we are now though.

You've clearly done the reading for your first thread but I would advise archiving all the videos to retain the sources for posterity. There's something afoot with this pseudo-science bullshitter, and all of this is a good starting point.

One question from me: From your observations, does Alivia wholeheartedly believe in her shtick or is she just playing the contrarian/exceptional trend?

I was wondering if she would pop up here, I didn't know if she was "cow" worthy but I wanted to discuss her. I have some input.

I think it's important to note that Steve Zim spouts the same shit with multiple different youtubers, and Alivia seems to have been paid to advertise her video to the exact same method that Glamandgore did, even down to the titles:

alivia.PNG

glamandgore.PNG

Both videos preach the idea that all sugar is fundamentally bad and that if you eat sugar you will gain calories. No attempt to discuss CICO, etc, just sugar = bad = fat (as claimed in the OP).

Alivia's discord is just a sea of young females attempting to diet alongside her, following her every word. For someone with such a large audience to be making such sweeping statements as in the OP, and not discussing her paid advertisements in the form of personal trainers, it's definitely sketchy and best at destructive at it's worst.

@Lonely Grave Thank you for the input. I'll be sure to start archiving the videos, especially the apology video and instagram live stream. I honestly don't know what is going through this girl's head at this point.

I don't think Alivia was thread worthy too long ago. She was flakey, obnoxious and extremely cringy but harmless. What's launched her into the cowsphere is that she refuses to take accountablity and thinks she knows better than everyone else. It seems to me that Alivia has many undesirable traits that up until recently she could hide behind her platitudes of self improvement in the awful voice overs she does.

If you look at Alivia's actions in season one, she's doing Amberlynn reid levels of cycling. But no matter what, her grating voice over is there to give the tween fanbase inspirational quotes from Pinterest. I think this kind of thing, even with a tween audience can't last forever without being noticed.

I was unsure on whether this was a paid advertisement with Steve Zim in the last episode but those screen caps just confirm it. Also, Alivia posted this on her community tab regarding Steve's website:

steves website.png

It really brings into question just how money hungry she truly is. For future reference, I don't believe it's been explained but she is now living in apartment in LA. Maybe she had to move back to California due to covid?

With all that said, here are some

UPDATES

Season 2, Episode 3: Becoming mentally strong + ignoring negativity and haters

You read the title and just know, Alivia means it literally. She really is ignoring all critisms now. So what if she thinks her audience of anachans just don't have willpower. So what if she promotes lies from a gymbro. She lost weight and that's all that matters.

Something important I picked up on is that this video was meant to be episode 4, not episode 3. At the start of each episode, Alivia opens a book with a chapter number that matches the episode number. Example: Episode 2 has her open to Chapter 2. This episode was also released only five days after the other one. My theory is that Alivia uploaded this episode because the other one had even more signs of BED which she didn't want people speculating about anymore.

This video is extremely hard to watch because of second hand embarrassment. Alivia spends most of it speaking like she's trapped in an 80s home work out video.

Alivia begins the video by talking about how you don't need a gym, you don't even need a mat. She talks about how she doesn't have a yoga mat, so just used a carpet (when she could just buy a mat). A thing I'm picking up on more and more is Alivia downplaying her income. I don't know if it's to seem more relateable or something after the time she took an impromptu trip to Shanghai and her fans said they couldn't relate to her anymore but it's really weird.

She rambles about how her new role models are navy seals and Olympian Gymnasts.

At 6:10 Alivia shouts in the street about how she has now discovered the power of thinking positively. A skill she has never ever unlocked before this point.

Around 15 minutes in, Alivia starts talking about how to not care what others think despite pretty clearly caring about what everyone thinks. It wouldn't be the first time Alivia gives advice without following it though. I'm struggling to find the time but at some point Alivia has a run then comes back home again. Seems normal but afterwards she forces herself to do it again despite already haven gotten a good workout. That's a weird obsession Alivia has in this episode, doing things to the extreme. Instead of just stepping out of her comfort zone, Alivia is now obsessed with the idea that pain = growing. Not like her body might just need to rest or something.

The video ends with Alivia about to eat a cookie or a dougnut in the kitchen. It's meant to be a cliffhanger but is it really? Anyone with a healthy mindset towards food would just think she's have a lil late night snack. Of course to Alivia though, sugar is the enemy. (Oh, and before I forget, she had a Hello Fresh sponsor). If it's a cliffhanger does that mean Alivia is cutting out the real Episode 3 entirely? I wonder what's in there.

Alivia seems to have shut up the comments about her eating disorder for now but judging by her past live streams, she moves onto fasting. Restriction. I wonder how that will turn out for her when half her audience already thinks she has undiagnosed Binge Eating Disorder

nothing and no one

kiwifarms.net
Given the comments made to her face by her parents, it is clear she has a fixation on being perfect and views mental illness as something unacceptable.

She definitely has an eating disorder. It is so apparent in her videos and behaviors, and frankly, while I realize it's being an armchair psychiatrist, you really don't need to see a formal diagnosis to see that. She films herself bingeing, restricting, obsessing over her weight, and hating herself for being overweight.

Alivia's studies are definitely something I have tried to look into. I'm 99% sure she mentioned dropping out of the Singapore degree and moving back home in an instagram comment asking how she was doing during her social media break (filming season 2), but I can't find that comment and I don't believe I saved it as a screenshot because this was before she was doing cow stuff. It would be interesting to see if she did because she basically never talks about her studies or what she does; we don't even know what she attended university for the first time around, or what this Singapore degree was offering her either. She was back in America before Covid-19, as referenced by this tweet:

LA.PNG

I think this tweet references vague-booking about dropping out, it's not necessary so i've spoilered it but it's here for reference if need be:

dropping out.PNG

On the topic of her financials, her family are most definitely quite rich. When her and her sister traveled to Singapore (before she then decided to return and study there) they flew business class, as we can see here:

business class.PNG

business 2.PNG

The cost for these tickets runs about $3000~ per person, so $6000 just on tickets alone for the two girls.

Alivia travelled to Shanghai, then later studied in Taiwan. It makes sense to get it mixed up though considering how messed up her timeline is. However, there's no mistaking, she took those $3000 flights. It's frustrating how she never acknowledges how much her money has helped her in life. I did some digging and figured out the hotel she was staying in when she visited Shanghai.

shanghai hotel.png

The place she stayed in was a five star luxury hotel called the Mandarin Oriental Pudong. I looked into her room and it looks like she stayed in one of their "Mandarin River View" rooms. Assuming her booking didn't include bed and breakfast or any other luxuries, this room cost around $230 per night on weekdays and $250 on weekends. The time Alivia stayed in Shanghai is never mentioned Even if Alivia just stayed for the weekend, that's around $750 just on a hotel.

What I don't understand is that Alivia made it out that she felt more connected to South-east Asia and the culture there. When she moved to the college in Taiwan, she made it seem as though she had found her place... only to move to LA again a few months later. It feels like she wants her fans to see her as this deep thinker who so deeply connects with other cultures when in reality she's another LA youtuber.

Honestly, I think it's kinda ridiculous that she thinks/insists that her concerned audience is "giving her hate", even though they are (rightly so!) concerned that she simply has a binge ed.

The dating diary instagram confirms the direction of where the next "diaries" series is going to go, which all sounds great to teach young teenage girls.

Get skinny > get a boyfriend. It's that easy! Don't work on your mental illnesses, just dodge them and lie about them and push them under the old carpet you use as a yoga mat. Promote unhealthy eating habits such as fasting, restriction and inevitable binge cycles to your young audience, while ripping them off for their money by partnering with absolute idiots who believe that eating 1g of sugar will instantly make you gain weight.

I think what contributes to Alivia being cow-worthy is her absolute inability to accept criticism, while letting said criticism live completely rent-free in her head. If episode 3 wasn't so fucking boring, and actually contained something people could correct her on, she'd absolutely be going on another rant in the youtube comments section about the haters and the comments.

She's got potential for sure, but I have a strong feeling that this is just youthful stupidity and won't last long-- less cow and more like a veal calf. If she doesn't get cancelled and have to apologise and reform, then her audience will grow up and realise she's toxic, and the cancelling will happen anyway. If she wants to make money long term she'll have to conform. Give her two, three years, and if she's still exactly like this and hasn't used the Bank of Mum and Dad to get some real therapy then I reckon she'll be a funny one, but right now the best thing to do in my unwanted opinion is to just document and see how it plays out.

With Alivia, I don't know where this will go. I can easily see her becoming a cow but I can also see her manipulating her way out of being one.

I added the rest of Alivia's instagram accounts to the OP and did some digging on her main Instagram account. I thought that after the response to her Shanghai trip, Alivia was hiding her vacations from her audience to appear more relatable. I was correct. These posts also give us insight to when she dropped out of the Taiwan college.

  • The last post on Alivia's Instagram with Taiwan as the location was posted the 8th May 2019.
  • After are pictures of her in Singapore, even one where she is in the Marina Bay Sands Hotel which has a 600ft infinity pool. These are posted 26th May 2019 and 2nd June 2019.
  • On the 6th June 2019, Alivia posts a picture from Chongqing, China.
  • On the 2nd November 2019, Alivia posts a picture in California.
  • On the 6th December 2019, Alivia posts a picture from Metropolis DTLA
  • On the 7th December 2019 Alivia posts a picture in Vancouver.
  • On the 29th December 2019, Alivia posts a picture from a Norwegian Joy Cruise Ship
  • 13th February onwards, all posts are in LA.

I'm going to check out her other accounts too and see if I can gather anything interesting from them. But it seems as though Alivia dropped out some time in June, travelled all while doing the hard work of editing. Her excuse in the OP for not uploading season one episodes for months was "having ups and downs". I can only imagine she means her body was raising and falling in the 600ft Singapore infinity pool.

Sure, none of this seems that bad. But really think about it. Alivia makes money off her ED and denies it's existence to herself and others. She takes months to edit a single episodes and makes 13 year old girls think editing is harder than developing the covid vaccine. She makes out she has an average income when she was born to rich parents and now has her own fortune. Then to top it all off she's actually been spending these very hward months traveling around the world. None of these trips will show up in the glow up diaries. The current season is from around the early months of 2020 onward. Alivia is hoping her Youtube audience don't notice.

Shouldn't a glow up diary include your journey to financial independence? If she made it apart of the Glow Up Diaries, I think it would work out better. It'd be good to see her talk about how dependent she was on daddy's money and now makes her own income. But no, Alivia is deciding to manipulate her audience whilst she teaches the only way to glow up to is get skinny and get a man.

I couldn't find anything interesting on Alivia's instagram pages so I did some digging on her discord. It appears Alivia doesn't run it or own it. But she does advertise it on her Instagram and Youtube descriptions so this is a part of her brand and she should be checking on it at least.

The majority of the admins are 15-16 which doesn't sit right with me. I understand Alivia doesn't run this server but she promotes it and having a bunch of teens do everything for you seems pathetic to me. Considering Alivia didn't hire them though, it isn't the worst thing.

One of the admins is only 14 and says in her admin introduction that she cuts herself?

Letting mentally ill children run your discord is always a sign of care and respect. Speaking of, respect, this whole discord is a disguised pro ana discord. The users in there pretend it's all about health and it isn't. Even the users try to convince themselves on this but almost everyone in there has an eating disorder. Many claim they're trying to recover, but the obsession in the server with weight loss begs to differ.

It was almost certain that the discord server would turn into a toxic meet-up place for kids with issues. And pro anas of course. It also perfectly shows what a responsible and mature person Alivia is. Oh wait, she probably thinks that there's nothing wrong with it.

Alivia not only sent out that message, she also pretty much copied and pasted it onto her Youtube Community Tab.

Plus, she made various comments about Binge Eating Disorder being a mindset or whatever the fuck she thinks.

I genuinely believe she still doesn't see BED as a disorder. It just seems as though she wants everyone to leave her alone. The way she sees it is that she got skinny so she can't have BED, She never reaffirms Binge Eating as a disorder, just puts in vague "motivating" platitudes as always. I'm tired of the getting back into youtube excuse too. She's had her youtube channel for well over five years.

There was a community post she made that was deleted and can't be found. Many are talking about it and what I gather is that she told those with ED's not to watch her content in a very passive aggressive way. I bring this up because of the tags on the most recent episode:

Oooh, not a good look at all, Alivia. Remember her discord? The main owner was some crazy white knight who calls himself TaharBoOo though he recently departed when his worship of Alivia made him loose himself.

He's losing himself again and defending Alivia against all meanie weenie comments. She has not acknowledged him whatsoever. Boo Boo pretty much says that EDs are just bad habits. Yeah, caused by a mental disorder dumbass. Feel free to read all the retardation below.

Talking of Discord, it appears Alivia made an appearence in a VC there and IS in the server. Excuse me for getting this information wrong earlier. So Alivia is allowing children to run her discord and knows the ED stuff that happens there. Plus, she knows and has DMed Boo Boo. Which means she knows him on a personal level and is just having him do all the dirty work for her in the twitter replies.

Back to Twitter though. Eating disorder twitter (edtwt) is obsessed with Alivia, far more than us stalkers at the Farms ever could be. It really says something when the audience she fosters all have usernames related to calories or being skinny. They often characterize Alivia's name as "al!via" or more commonly "4livia" to not have her see the posts but they're really not hard to find.

Many of those from the pro ana side of twitter are beginning to fear Alivia will expose them. By the way, Alivia is an extremely popular topic on this side of twitter. They use her as "fatspo" and "thinspo". Below the image I'll put a spoiler and sperg about what's so wrong with edtwt compared to other ana communities and why they're so fearful of people finding them. Feel free to not read it.
edtwt exposed.png

Everything is ten times as toxic when it's on twitter. That goes for the pro-anorexia community too, Back in the day most of the pro-ana community was on tumblr where they'd share pictures of skinny girls they labelled as thinspo. They would also share diets, tips, workouts, the whole shabang.

Now what makes edtwt so much worse than that is a few things. Most of the members are delusional and really try to convince themselves that they are just sharing their journey rather than promoting it to others. They say this all whilst sharing their weight loss and their thinspo. Talking of thinspo, edtwt also has things like fatspo and meanspo. Fatspo is where these members will share images and videos of random women (usually these are from tiktok) in a bid to motivate others to not look like that. The worst bit is that a lot of fatspo is just normal women who would be considered a healthy weight. Meanspo is where users ask other users to bully them into giving into their disorder more pretty much.

Edtwt has to use many weird ways of typing because they are shit scared of being exposed to the world due to them not only encouraging each other's disorders but pretty much encouraging average sized women to get disorders because they are used as "fatspo". Whenever a tweet trying to expose them comes out, they all attack the person till the tweet is deleted. If Alivia were to make a video on it, she for sure could have people finally see edtwt and eventually have it decrease it's member size.

Also, some extra information on Binge Eating Disorder and why it is a disorder if anyone's interested.
Binge Eating Disorder of BED often develops with Anorexia but they are not exclusive. Anorexia is about control more than it is about food. On the surface, sufferers may think they just what want to be skinny but the root of it can be usually be brought back to needing to feel in control. Anorexics restrict their food intake a lot and relate not eating to staying in control. However, this can cause binges, a lack of control. Hence, Binge Eating Disorder

Other people likely to have it are those who grew up in an abusive home and didn't eat much. If growing up someone doesn't know when they will recieve food next, they'll resort to hoarding food whenever they get it. A child may save this food up for a while, possibly saving it for when they're "actually hungry". Of course, when the child does eat it, they binge eat it because of their insane hunger. This can easily move into adulthood even if the person now has access to food whenever. Hence, Binge Eating Disorder.

Just a mindset, huh?

This is long as hell but I wanted to include everything. I'm going to be combing through Alivia's livestreams and seeing if anything interesting is there.

Does she ever purge or does she just restrict? If she just restricts then unless she changes I predict she'll go the way of many of the fatties on here eventually when she gets tired of exercising. She doesn't have the "discipline" to go the way of Eugenia Cooney and she isn't pedantic or crazy enough to go the way of a horrorcow (bpd).
This could be an interesting thread though depending on how it plays out.
