Always found the Segata Sanshiro line of Sega Saturn ads to be pretty funny. The Old Spice ads with Isaiah Mustafa and Terry Crews were amusing as well.

Back when I actually used to watch the old VHS tapes from movies recorded off of TV, my favorites parts were always the commercials. They're a good barometer of the culture of an era.

I would sit around and turn the TV onto different channels and just watch the adverts instead of the programs and get upset when someone wanted to watch the programs.

It was one of those old TVs with the channels tuned into the buttons and you had to flip a panel down to get to the tuner knobs

I have no idea where this would have aired in Australia, given that it was blatant swearing, unlike this ad.

People actually complained about this to the advertising regulator.
