Didn't see a thread for this, so was wondering if anyone else had tried this game here.
The game is kind of like a hyper autistic version of Rimworld, which even with the hours-long tutorial, basically just says "fuck you and figure it out for yourself" for most of the game mechanics. It's based heavily on Taoist mythology and Chinese cultivation manhuas. While a lot of the mechanics are similar to Rimworld, it sort of morphs into an odd sort of RPG/management combo later in the game where you're not really worried at all about survival anymore, and more just trying to get your cultivators as strong as humanly possible to take on some of the ridiculously OP challenges which you run into in the game.
Hints/tricks I wish someone had told me before I started.
Don't get into a huge hurry to get to your guys to Golden Core stage. A low tier Golden Core is a pushover. If you have to get someone to it fast, just do it with one person so you can fix it later with a rebirth pill.
Read a guide for the story before starting a game. Some of the things are time-sensitive, and if you miss them, you're just shit out of luck.
Don't feed the monster in the cave when it shows up. It will make the fight way harder. Find an ancient cultivator and get the seal from him/her.
Don't start with the game with yaoguai. They'll face a tribulation eventually, and it will be almost impossible for them to handle it at core shaping early game because you don't have a lot of resources to buff them up fast. This will force you to rush them to Golden Core.
Buy the firecrackers from the merchants that come ASAP. You use them on the "strange little elf," event which happens every so often, and he drops things that are useful even late game. If you're really lucky, the dumplings he drops will have at least one "prayer coin" in them, and you can get good shit by rubbing them and then giving them to the dragon which will show up.
