I remember when AA2 came out and people were saying "yeah it will take at least a year or more to translate this game" then a bunch of people on /vg/ h game general got it translated in under a month. When there is a worthy cause, people band together to achieve great things.
I vaguely recall a furry attempting to make a Flash-based porn game way the hell back when, with the banner of the Blogger site reading "What if porn games were actually good games?" Even a furry from like 10+ years ago can grasp a simple concept: make sure your game is sound and, god forbid, fun to play before stuffing its crevasses with Steak-Ums and runny yogurt.

Do you or does anyone else have info on this weird spat? Cause I recall the guy running the twitter account opting to hide behind the Kyu persona and keeping interactions to a bare minimum. I think he was citing poor health but my money is on he wanted to avoid roving bands of the politically correct just itching to take him down for that sweet internet clout.
I wasn't even aware that the game had more than one writer or that there was a difference in philosophy over the plot and the girls. As far as my interaction with the game goes I only watched a no commentary run but the voice actresses for Tiffany and Audrey really fucking nailed their roles to near spot on perfection so it's almost a shame to hear the sequel has become shallower.
Honestly with better art and not being dangerously close to actual cub-furry bait I'd be interested in a game with this premise. You could do a lot of dark and funny stuff with "apocalypse is happening, I need to bang someone now".
You're thinking of it the wrong way around. You shouldn't view the game as padding or a barrier to the sex, the sex is spice to the game. EG Sengoku Rance is an incredible comedy game + grand strategy game. The sex is a large part of the experience, but the stuff that isn't sex isn't filler at all.
It's best to distinguish "porn games" from "games with sex running through them" from "games with sex scenes hours and hours apart, maybe only 2-5 times in the game". The presence of actual sex in a game also is a great signal for "this developer doesn't particularly care what boundaries they are breaking". If they will put sex in, they could put anything in.
There are games that are essentially just strung-together sex scenes, called 'nukige', but they're not the rule.
At the time they genuinely believed everyone was into tranny porn. It's the funniest case of assuming your personal interest is universal that I've seen.
AFAIK the MNF series was just edited screenshots and tracing from other porn with some dialog added on top.

Free Cities is a text-based slave brothel management game that you effectively play as a spreadsheet in an offline HTML file (there are optional graphics packs, they kind of suck). I guess the games it's most like would be sports management sims like Out of the Park Baseball or Football Manager. It's interesting mostly because it takes place in a near-future Ancapistan Arcology that you own a majority share of and any amount of completely amoral and degenerate things can happen because Ancapistan is a Magical Place. Forced feminization of your males slaves is just assumed, but there's a lot of other islamic content you can enable or disable in the settings.
Default settings on a new game, age settings are also customizable in case you want a loli harem for some reason.
Other then strictly sexual content you can do and effect a lot of other things in your arcology, like building environmental protection/armed forces to defend against the eternal Bugaloo happening outside your gates. You can also do MKUltra propaganda campaigns on your residents to change your arcologies culture, usually for sexual reasons. Want to have a white ethnostate? You can do that, now it's dishonorable to enslave whites and double dishonorable to prostitute them, but it's fine to put your black slaves out on the corner just so long as they don't breed. I forget if it's preferable or not to give your slaves skin bleaching and surgery to look Caucasian but that's a thing. You can also make your culture revitalize some slave owning cultures of the past, like Egypt or Rome, or cultures that had interesting views of prostitution like China or Japan.
It's sort of an awkward game to play though because it's very micromanagement heavy, although the game does a lot to try to combat it. First 10 minutes of every playthrough is setting up the rules page to automate things so that the salves are modified with hormones to whatever you want/can tolerate. Lots of the special event slaves come with size H or higher breasts which is not relevant to my interests, for example. You also need to change Rules Assistant to give harsher treatment to women that don't respect you yet and lighter treatment for those that do. Figuring out this system (and learning to use the Brothel/other facilities to automate prostitution) is like 99% of the learning curve, once you figure it out you pretty much just make executive decisions about slave-staff placement and deal with a few edge cases.
It's still being updated, the original programmer ghosted a few years ago but several of the mod creators got together and kept writing updates. I've never got the game to run in Brave so you'll probably need to use some other browser (Edge works).

sweet pool is a hidden gem that's essentially just a bizarre metaphor for the trauma of female puberty in Japan and being an outcast in a country where your social status is all you have. It's supposed to be disturbing, and really is heartwrenching, with the only people I see stating otherwise being people who haven't played it.
