I want Ambre over 600 lbs, then 700 lbs., etc... she's a freak show killing herself for our enjoyment. If she loses weight or becomes stagnant long enough, her channel will die after people get their virtue signaling "You go girl!" bullshit out pretending they care about her. There's zero other reason to watch Amber, she's boring and stupid.
I dunno...I've always believed that if she was successful in losing weight, she'd be even more popular and raking in millions.

I had to read that plaintive post of hers several times to pick up every last bit of whining & gaslighting. A barrage of bullshit!

"I'm sorry to those who were looking forward to the POSSIBILITY of it" - referring to the mythical half assed promised weigh in. Boo-boo - what farmers were looking forward to was what specific excuse you'd choose this time to wiggle out of it.

"If no one can see it, that's fine.I won't show it to you!." In other words: "Mommy & Daddy bought me a unicorn for Christmas but if you don't believe in unicorns, that's fine. YOU don't get a ride."

People wanting something, (allegedly for her to weigh 600 lbs), terrify her to no end. But her current weight doesn't. Man, I wish I had that kind of power over every human I encounter!

"I'm done trying to win validation points..." Boo-boo, you keep playing your little games. But if you ever stop to look at the rest of the table, you'll see the other seats are empty.

'Creating a narrative about her life that entertains them." (Referring to Haydurs). Please... there's a wealth of good film, reading matter & sports/hobbies that provide better quality entertainment. Perhaps she's projecting. When she's squatting on Pillow Mountain, no doubt fantasies about her own life provide her the only form of real entertainment she can handle. Me at worst, YouTube has tons of great cute kitten videos that are far more appealing.

Why? There's nothing to her other than her being a fat freakshow. She has no interests, no hobbies, no skills, she can speak intelligently about absolutely nothing. If you take away the freakshow factor, what's left? Hauls of cheap garbage? Talking about how she's a lesbian?

People tend to like success stories and find them inspiring. Amberlynn became popular because she came across as some sweet honest girl sharing her life and her weight loss "journey". A lot of the "haydurs" used to support her until it was gradually revealed that she was full of shit.

I actually do not care if she is 600 lbs or not. For her height, she need to be 170 lbs or under to have a BMI of less than 30. That should be her goal, not just losing 25 to 50 lbs. She should do it with the help of medical specialists. Losing 50 lbs won’t solve her lymphoma, or other ailments she is having now. Any injuries at her weight might disable her completely if it does not kill her first.
Most people would support her if she had a realistic plan. We all know that it would not be easy, but she would have a lot of positive comments and supports in her journey.
But, we have daft resolutions rehashing previous year ones, providing haphazard diet plans that will never work for her.
But she knows what works for her, boo-boo!

I dunno...I've always believed that if she was successful in losing weight, she'd be even more popular and raking in millions.
I believe this as well. People love redemption crap just as much as they love trainwrecks. The big bucks would last until she hit 160-170-ish maintenance weight, and then go back to normal unless she developed an engaging, non-narc personality, had at least a little intellectual curiosity, and didn't lie every time she opened that hole in her face. If that happened - and it would take a miracle and a personality transplant - she could conceivably become one of he big YTers. But, sine she's a narc, not terribly bright, and is a pathological liar, once she hit goal/maintenance weight, that would be the end of her channel (that is, views and engagement would go down quit significantly, because the show would be over). She'd still have some money coming in, but she'd have to go get a real job.

lmao that's not why she became popular at all. She was on the platform for years getting fuck all views. She became popular because she clickbaited stuff like FAT GIRL GOING DOWN THE STAIRS and started doing disgusting mukbangs. In other words she only gained popularity for the same reason she has retained it: being a freak.

She has even said herself that it was her mukbangs that "went viral" (not really but for her it was "viral") and her channel took off; those mukbangs to this day have the most views of any of her videos and nobody was watching them because they found her any more "sweet and honest" than they would a hippo in the zoo. Then people noticed what at trainwreck she was as a person and also that she has gained so much weight on her "journey," and here we are. She's just a Slaton with more guile.

So you're wrong, except for the part about her getting even more popular if she lost weight. She would, because it just works that way. But it wouldn't be "good" popular. She was never a sweet honest girl, people know that now, and there will never be a sizable portion that will fall for it again because anytime she starts trying to "mend her reputation" newbies get educated. If she lost weight she'd remain popular as clickbait and because she'd look like a deflated parachute. Once a freakshow, always a freakshow.

The thing with redemption stories is that people like them, but the interest doesn't last beyond a video or two, unless the person is very likable or talented or interesting in some regard. Because once you see the person is like everyone else now, what's the point of watching? We've seen this happen with other content creators, especially ones like Amber who are only popular because they're freaks.

I see an "opening" now in the realm of weight loss videos & shows. If she got her shit together, she could easily slide into that open slot. The TV programs show a brief bit of what got people to that weight but focus mainly on the months leading up to the surgery, the procedure part, then typically 6 - 12 months later where MOST enjoy a reasonable amount of success.

YouTube is full of ALs, Chantals, Slatons, Amys, Jens, etc. We watch & get a better understanding of HOW people get to My 600 Lb. Life territory.

What has been glossed over is further down the success road. How long does it take before you look in the mirror & don't see a fat person? It would be enjoyable to watch AL or the others walk into a regular clothing store & derive genuine & honest excitement over the world of clothing possibilities a normal size brings. Vlog a holiday where she only has to worry about the normal concerns anyone has travelling - missed connections, etc. rather than worry if she'll fit in the elevator.

Imagine her deciding to help maintain her weight loss by undergoing a sensible fitness program - starting with walking & simple stuff for balance, endurance, flexibility & stamina. If she set targets, (running a 5 K or eventually further), showed how she's working towards it & vlogs a race or something, she could, (assuming she chooses to improve her production values), pick up a new & potentially huge audience.

Yes, all mythical because I don't think she gives a shit about anything but when her next feeding session is BUT if maintaining her channel size & growing it through weight loss was a real concern - that would be a way to approach it.

Added: She could also gain a lot of views if she addressed the medical issues she was left with after weight loss. Those are mentioned but often glossed over in weight loss TV programming. Not just skin removal but how about organ function? What permanent damage was done to various systems & are there 'work arounds' she can employ? THAT sort of stuff might gain her a much larger audience... if she kept it honest.

Build a reputation as a liar, admit you're a liar; specifically about your weight & it should come as no surprise that no one is simply going to take your word for it.
Why would she bother trying to repair her reputation with her haydurs/former fans when there's a whole internet worth of new suckers who don't even know about the lies yet? The haydurs betrayed her by holding her accountable -- like she even cares about trying to win them back (outside of some sad manipulation attempts for the bigger names among them).

She's never once had to take responsibility for something she's said or done, and there's no reason for her to start now.

Nobody WANTS you to be over 600 pounds. But you clearly are. Maybe you should start with telling the truth about that to start off the new year. You don't seem to understand how stupid you sound, whining about "how proud" you are of the progress you claim to have made but how nobody believes you when you say it, when a weigh in showing that supposed progress would shut up the haydurs.
Some people do, because they hate her and find it funny. No judgment. You're right though, I think most people don't.

But more to your point, it's fascinating to me that she's got this urge to insulate herself against people (allegedly) wishing her ill. Like, why would it be "terrifying"? The haydurs don't actually have the power to do anything here. Though AL does, of course...

And even if you weren't engaged full-time in avoiding responsibility for your actions, I could understand you saying you're dismayed or put off or offended or whatever by people being assholes on the internet -- but terrified? I can't wrap my head around this (and thus suspect it's nothing but a particularly sloppy manifestation of Victimlynn).

How long does it take before you look in the mirror & don't see a fat person?
I really think she's already there. Her and her "big caboose".

Yes, all mythical because I don't think she gives a shit about anything but when her next feeding session is BUT if maintaining her channel size & growing it through weight loss was a real concern - that would be a way to approach it.
Additionally, I don't think she really understands (or at least, manages to deny) how much of the freakshow element there is in her channel. Yes, yes, she's got an intuitive feel for how social media works and how to leverage that into viewership (I hesitate to call her a 'savant' because that implies a lot more competence than she actually shows, but her ability to grow her channel borders on something like that). But for all that she goes back and forth on whether it's a weightloss channel or not, stringing people along who actually care about her diet attempts for whatever reason, deep down she really thinks people are tuning in for her. I mean, she's got a weightloss channel and has never lost weight. I can see how a simpleminded narcissist could interpret that to mean that people just find her riveting to watch no matter what she does (when the reality is that people are just watching to see how bad it can actually get).

She thinks people actually care about her Walmart hauls and her opinion on Danielle Steele. If she lost weight, she'd do exactly the same things she does now, film it, and wonder why views were dropping off. Her entitled arrogance would get in the way of her doing anything else, just like it has in her real life.

I've always thought that if Amberlynn was less narcissistic and more willing to be honest and open about her life it would make for some compelling viewing. Shows like MSHPL show WLS from a very skewed perspective; what the viewer sees is very much about what the TLC production and editing teams chose to show. There's a lot of the really typical 'lazy-stupid-fat-pig' bias at play in the show, and while many of the show's participants definitely fit the tropes, it's a shame that they chose not to delve into the relationships that many seriously broken and damaged people have with food addiction,
I would enjoy watching a show about a person who is genuinely struggling with these issues and how they approach the process of dealing with trying to mitigate the effects of super-morbid obesity following the route of WLS and physical and emotional therapy. Unfortunately, Amberlynn is both too stupid. lazy, and obnoxious to do this. She lacks any real insight into her actions and behaviors and is unwilling to be honest herself and anyone around her. If she was a nicer person she could make a lot of money from telling her story honestly though.

Okay, fine, but what if she never claimed to be on any kind of weight loss journey? Wouldn't people at least respect her more?
I think she’d be a lot less popular. A main factor in the hilarity is that she thinks she’s an inspurashunnn, and the fact that she started out as a weight loss channel yet has managed to gain over 200 pounds. If she was just a fat gorl vlogger I doubt she would have her own special forum on the farms.

Amberlynn has probably over a thousand videos about weight loss on her channel. Are you saying what if she never did weight loss videos? I still believe the answer would be no. She still would've garnered most of her following in the same way, with the exploitation "watch fatty do a thing" clickbait and grotesque mukbangs and all the drama would still be there. Honestly what is there to respect? The fact that she has no self respect and keeps it pushing to make her checks? If she was just exploiting herself without pretending to want to lose weight (like, say, Hungry Fat Chick) I think she'd get less "hate" but only because it would be less fun to follow the trainwreck. But less hate isn't really the same thing as more respect. She'd just have a lower profile.

She's scared/terrified of everything, according to her. Like outside. WTF? Get over yourself and find more appropriate words to describe your feelings. (We know she won't, since we all know her crutch words - hell, my name is made up of several of them.)

It's a trifecta: VictimLynn, SympathyLynn, ManipulationLynn.

Definitely not savant status. She has that evil, manipulative sort of "smart" that many narcs do, and once she abandoned the whole "this is a weight loss channel" thing years ago - even if she will never admit it - she used all those different incarnations of herself to gather people to her channel.

But for all that she goes back and forth on whether it's a weightloss channel or not, stringing people along who actually care about her diet attempts for whatever reason, deep down she really thinks people are tuning in for her. I mean, she's got a weightloss channel and has never lost weight. But man, she could make bank for awhile if she really devoted herself to losing weight. But since she's lazy and doesn't want to work, and the trainwreck brings the coin in, we'll continue to get what we've got.

I've always thought that if Amberlynn was less narcissistic and more willing to be honest and open about her life it would make for some compelling viewing. This is the truth. Even if she did lose weight, at the end of it all, there would still be a stupid, shitty person there.

She's been pimping (or whoring, take your pick, Farmers) herself out for a long time. If she owned up and admitted she didn't want to lose weight, she wouldn't get so much shit from people, that's for sure.
