That's probably a little hasty. The left was positive that Obama getting elected was the death of conservatism, and a lot of progressives and conservatives thought that Hillary Clinton losing was the death of neo-liberalism. MAGA as a brand will probably get co-opted like the Tea Party did and get dragged down by the fringe personalities. I don't see centrist ideals or right leaning populism going anywhere for at least another 2 elections.

for one we'll never know what would've happened with the election the shitshow it was.
this also assumes they'll slowly boil us like they did before, not push the pedal the closer to the wall they get with lockdowns and all the other retarded shit.

if history has told us anything, the worse shit gets the more attractive populism becomes, and most people are even subconsciously aware what got us there (not to mention most of them are dumb as a brick, you could clone hitler and they'd vote for him if he wore a LGBT shirt and say black lives matter), so the left is out. I fully expect the pendulum to swing back, hard.

If Harris was smart, she would have our backchannel guys and gals at the UN quietly inform Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, and P'yongyang's backchannel people that the US nuclear arsenal is in fully-capable hands, that Biden won't be able to "push the button" on them for no reason.
Let's hope so, who knows if he might fall and his head hit the button by accident?

Funnily enough that reminds of Inauguration Day and the Presidential walk from the Capitol over to the White House. If I remember right newly sworn-in Presidents always do the walk (cannot recall what Trump did), but Biden and family rode in the limo the entire way. Some might say that was a precaution (don't know which scapegoated Proud Boy white supremacist NG/Marine will try to take a shot with his imaginary bullets), but you know who did walk? Why Harris of course, with family in tow. For a President supposedly physically fit and mentally capable, there sure are a lot of strange decisions in how Biden is choosing to engage with the public.

And if anyone thinks that'll change over time, just note that Biden is unlikely to have an actual face-to-face with any foreign official for a long time. Covid has a purpose beyond benefiting big business, who knew.

Now then you mentionned that detail, Kamala Harris will have a meeting with French president Macron. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/worl...s-macron-seeks-to-strengthen-ties/ar-BB1dI3hQ

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Vice-President Kamala Harris spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday, expressing her commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries, her office said in a statement.

President Joe Biden, a former vice president himself under Barack Obama, has had Harris at his side for multiple events during his early White House tenure, indicating he wants her to have a key role in implementing his political and policy agenda.

The call with Macron, leader of a G7 nation, shows Harris is taking a role in foreign policy as well, an area in which the former U.S. senator from California has significantly less experience than Biden.

"Vice President Harris and President Macron agreed on the need for close bilateral and multilateral cooperation to address COVID-19, climate change, and support democracy at home and around the world," the vice president's office said in a statement.

They simply don't have the time. You can only have one person speaking as President. Biden obviously cannot do it. You don't want to have foreign leaders, especially Putin, Xi, Kim Jong Un, and whoever is in charge in Iran not knowing who is really in charge. One of the best ways in the world to have an otherwise-manageable international incident turn into something much worse.

I think they all have a pretty good idea who is running things in the USA right now, and it's not an individual, it's a network.

In the past there was nervousness in Washington whenever it took a while to name a new Soviet leader. You don't think Moscow, Beijing, Tehran and P'yongyang aren't concerned, and asking each other what the fuck is going on in Washington? Jesus...

The West was worried when the Soviet Union was leaderless because it meant there was a power struggle going on with an uncertain outcome.

The power struggle was in the Trump years. The only struggle now is uniparty vs. the people, with that minority of Republicans who are not controlled opposition on the side of the people and the rest of Congress and the Senate against them.

Maybe that's a superficial take. Maybe I'm wrong. I sincerely would love it if you're right. But I don't think there's much uncertainty over it, imo. We've known Biden was on the take since Hunter's laptop (well, before honestly if you were paying attention). And if someone is on the take they're not the ones in charge - the paymasters are.

How long before the paymasters make their move to ensure they get a return on their investment?

I wonder if they had Biden execute a flurry of EOs so that when he becomes unfit to be president (which is within the next six months probably given his mental condition), Harris can more easily distance herself from them.
Why would they do that? They wanted all those things done.

Nah, they should have Biden sound obviously nuts and joke about nuking Pyongyang on an open mic "accidentally" like Reagan did about Moscow.

Does it not occur to them how bad that actually looks? The head of state for our oldest ally, going back to the fucking revolution, is given a meeting and the President is either too addled to attend himself or can’t be arsed. I know Macron is a slimy fuck who’s probably in on all of this, but it looks terrible from the outside.

They don't care about history, tradition, or looks. They're in the big boy seat and do whatever they want.

That or Biden's dementia had gone much more worse than they expected.
