Comedienne Amy Schumer gets completely naked in her new series Expecting Amy.

The Inside Amy Schumer star, 39, gave birth to son Gene in May last year after suffering a difficult pregnancy as she suffered from the condition hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes severe vomiting and nausea.

Gene is her son from her husband and cooking show chef Chris Fischer, 40, who she married in 2018.

In the documentary, Amy says of difficult pregnancies: "I resent the culture and how much women have to suck it the f**k up and act like everything’s fine. I really resent that."

According to USA Today, Amy gave "hundreds of hours of footage" to Expecting Amy director and editor Alexander Hammer, with Amy and Chris shooting it themselves and not necessarily with the intention for it to be more than a personal home movie.

"It was just like a lot of things in my life are," revealed Amy. "I just have, like, an instinct, and I just follow it and see if something comes of it, and sometimes it does."

In the end, the no-holds-barred series goes so far as to show Amy get completely naked while heavily pregnant and standing in a pool.

The series also delves into Chris' autism diagnosis and how he and Amy react to the news.

She says in one clip: “He knows that his brain is different.

"His brain just sees things so differently. He’s just the f***ing best."

One raunchy scene in the documentary, however, also includes Hollywood star and Chris' friend Jake Gyllenhaal reveal a surprising detail about the new dad's anatomy.

Appearing in a scene with other childhood friends, 39-year-old Jake toasts Chris and says: "We’re going to start this off with Chris is the only uncircumcised one amongst the four of us, which was a mystery to us as young boys because we only knew the penis to be one way."

HBO realized they'd be better off distancing themselves from that baggage, so they're replicating Dunham's schtick with a blonde, less problematic clone of her. It'd be a wise business decision if said schtick wasn't completely dated.
