Not every cow starts off on the highest threshold of exceptionalism. Some take time to flesh out that big ol puzzle piece. Look at Pkrussl & KhordKitty. One of them only had a thread for denying cub porn & the other for denying cub was related to pedophilia (plus trying to bring his kid to a cub room party).

Definitely a new low for Ghazi to take advice from furries like vex (now this is most definitely going to be an unpopular opinion here but I don't hate furries. Vex is an ex-white supremacist and GG member. He's made public his struggles with being recruited into white supremacy, how that worked and his opinions on how to get people out again.

This all gives off the impression that vex wants to help reform gamergators/anti-sjws (that's the impression I got anyway). But even before I came to kiwifarms and found this thread, I found out that it was a complete & utter falsehood. For this, I'm going to powerlevel a bit. I actually had the (dis)pleasure of interacting with him (I also thought back then that he would've looked at least feminine enough to pass & thus had no problem calling him a she. Now though, after reading though this thread, I, like many other here, am convinced Vex is about as transgender as Elizabeth Warren is Native American) when I commented on a retweet of his about an article concerning "toxic masculinity". Now according to these fucks, the term isn't about attacking masculinity, that its instead about men being forced to act masculine to toxic degrees because that's what society expects of them or some shit (I do agree with this to some degree, I do believe everyone has a right to be themselves, within reason of course). I pointed out that that's not how most of the socjus lot use it & that they almost always use the term to attack masculinity & called out hypocrisy on the "men don't don't have to be masculine" sentiment, pointing out that whenever a man/boy has at least one gender non-conforming trait (like being a brony or hell, even a collector of barbie dolls), these knobheads insist they must be trans or non-binary or one of the billions of tumblr genders or whatever (I also asked why "toxic femininity" isn't a thing which I did believe at the time until I found out it is a thing, it just doesn't seem to be discussed as often). Quite unexpectedly, he responded. Saying that that kind of thing "doesn't happen" and even implied I was mentally unstable (no ableism here). I showed him proof otherwise in the form of a KIA post linking to an article about a boy who was having his gender questioned because he liked something that girls normally do. He then predictably said that KIA "wasn't reliable" and then asked him if the article the post was linking to wasn't reliable, he just said "correct" & blocked me. Yeah, he totally helped me get out of the mindset, hey random Ghazi user? Are we talking about the same vex here? Also, his last two responses were incredibly robotic and considering that this took place in the early afternoon and Andrew apparently sleeps from 5AM to 5PM, I'm almost certain now that I was talking to a bot the entire time.

I think what gets me the most is that so many SJW types on Twitter are like that but they don't extend that same grace to people who are like what they used to be.

It's pretty comical. They want to try preaching out to these people, with their stories of "I used to be a channer/goon/etc.", yet they have them pre blocked or screech when they interact with them.

Which is one of the main reasons why i'm generally skeptical of such claims (other than the fact that just can't see any sane person doing a 360 degree turn from Anti-SJW to SJW after witnessing the sheer stupidity, nonsense, toxicity & puritanism of the latter unless they have an ulterior motive for doing so. I can believe being ex-far right or ex white supremacist or even an ex-anti-sjw to a certain degree e.g. still hating SJWs but becoming sick of what the current Anti-SJW community has become, but I just can't believe anyone doing a full 360) & why I believe anyone who makes such claims is either an outright liar/grifter looking for attention, or they were not entirely secure in their original positions in the first place and/or like I said before, have an ulterior motive for switching sides such as wanting attention or whatever. In the case of the latter, they may also exaggerate certain elements of their Anti-SJW past such as claiming they also used to be outright bigot as well. In between my interaction with him & coming to this thread, I used to think Vex fell into the former catergory & was lying about being a former gamergator & had been an SJW from day 1, but after seeing his pro-gamergate tweets from years ago, I think he falls into the latter & I think a lot of the people here will agree. He only sided with Gamergate for attention & validation but never really believed in the cause and when they didn't give it to him, he decided to join the opposing team where he found the attention & validation he craved. It's highly likely his behaviour would be little different if he stayed on team GG (though I'd personally find him less annoying & more tolerable if he had)

What's maddening is that this is a really good point to convince white people on the outside who don't think they have any stake in BLM as a movement and only act out of their own self-interest; you should be concerned about police brutality because it can happen to YOU, regardless of your skin color. It's a pragmatic argument, not terribly romantic, but unfortunately a lot of people will only care about shit if they think there's a direct benefit. But Vex is immediately shot down because obviously we should just expect bystanders to care because they should care if they want to be good people, which has the ironic side-effect of making sure the very people Vex is trying to convince stay away.

BLM has managed to recover after a lot of their more bone-headed moves of a few years ago, but it still manages to alienate potential allies by condoning looting, not caring about police brutality done to non-black people, and encouraging an us vs. them mentality with not a whole lot of solutions in the way of curbing the very issues that they claim to be fighting against; police brutality and racial profiling.

This is like the most sensible post Vex has made in a while and of course he needs to be corrected for that.
