Angela Dawson is well known character in Downtown Vancouver, BC who's social media footprint is composed of thousands of videos whining about transphobia and supposed stalkers on the street. Dawson has an extensive criminal history including a manslaughter charge after beating a man to death in 1991. He has been involved in multiple case before the civil courts and the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal (BCHRT). In 2015 Dawson gained even more $15,000 from the Vancouver Police Department in a Case before the BCHRT for discrimination and mistreatment.

The 2015 BCHRT ruling gives some insight on Dawson's background.

Angela Dawson was born in 1968 and was named Jeffery Alan Dawson by her parents. She testified that she was born intersex, but that she was assigned the male gender designation at birth at her father’s insistence. She says that since her teens, she has identified as female.

Ms. Dawson says she had a difficult childhood, and was abused by her father as a child. She says that she escaped from her abusive home at around sixteen years of age. Ms. Dawson has limited education. She has never graduated high school and reads at a grade six or seven level.

The ruling also takes about Dawson's criminal background, time in prison, and physical & mental state.

Ms. Dawson said, in an affidavit, that she is not violent or aggressive by nature. However, her criminal record shows that she has a criminal history with the police for violence, offensive weapons, B&E, theft, drugs, fraud, sex, other criminal code offenses, failure to attend, and arson. Ms. Dawson was also convicted of manslaughter. She spent at least ten years in a male penitentiary.

Ms. Dawson says she was raped several times during her incarceration. While incarcerated, Ms. Dawson says she was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, and she began hormone therapy. When Ms. Dawson was released from prison, she was released in British Columbia. She says she came to BC because of the availability of gender reassignment surgery through the Gender Dysphoria Clinic here.

Ms. Dawson lives with a number of chronic physical and psychological conditions that are not relevant to this case and which I will not describe in order to preserve what little is left of her privacy.

Vancouver Roller Girl
The BCHRT describes activities as Vancouver Roller Girl.

Ms. Dawson testified that she loves to direct traffic. She says that she directs traffic at busy intersections, including Main and Hastings, Broadway and Commercial, and Broadway and Cambie. She says that she began directing traffic after she saw a fatal accident between a truck and a pedestrian. She says she likes to help people cross the intersections, and feels that her role in the community is important.

When directing traffic, Ms. Dawson always wears rollerblades and often wears big headphones and brightly coloured clothing. She testified that rollerblades are her primary method of transportation. She describes her rollerblades as “her life”, wears them everywhere. She claims to be a very active and athletic person, and says physical activity helps her manage.

Virtually all officers of the VPB who work in the Downtown Eastside (“DTES”) testified that they know Ms. Dawson and they knew her as someone who likes to direct traffic on rollerblades. Usually they have spoken to her about the safety of her actions and some of them issued tickets to her.

Dawson has a lengthy criminal record in BC. More details can be found on the BC court records page. He has a number of assault charges including assault of a peace office. The rest are for breaking a entering, public mischief, probation violations, and theft.

Unfortunately I've been unable to locate the crimes that put him in jail for 10 years. If you remember he was diagnosed with gender dysphoria in prison. Once he was released he moved to BC because of the better health care for trannys. I have no idea what province he came from and other province's court records are not as easily accessible.

Civil
He has several civil cases as well. It case $6 CAD just to view the records and an another $6 do access EACH document. Anyone who wants to buy them be my guess. There's a good chance some of these were kicked over to the BCHRT anyway.


British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal
As far as I know he only has 2 case with the BCHRT. I have found a way to search by party. I've attached both case as PDFs.
1st case is the Vancouver PD complaint which awarded him $15k.
2nd case was over his eviction an was thrown out this past month.

• Claimed tenants word harassing him.
• Harassed back but property management wouldn't list.
• He would not allow exterminators in he bed bug ridden apartment and was evicted.

From the BCHRT docs we know he was born in 1968.

Mayoral Campaign
In 2018 Dawson ran for Mayor of Vancouver.

HELP!
This is my first time really attempting this and I was completely overwhelmed. Dawson has very little textual content. What he does have is a TON of videos. His Youtube alone has over 4k videos. He has videos on all of his platforms some duplicate some are exclusive to one platform. I could really use help finding good content.

Most importantly I could use some assistance finding his whereabouts before coming to BC. Where he grew up and where he committed crimes worthy of 10 years in prison.
