The usual lolcows are already saying this is the worst thing ever, but I honestly thing this movie might actually be good. They've put some actual effort into it from the looks of things, not just some cheap cash-in.

I tend to remember that's when it peaked. By 2013, I was working in a store that had to get rid of its Star Wars Angry Birds candies because they never sold and were past expiration date.

I like the art style, and the "Angry Birds" literally being birds that go to an anger management class is a funny idea, but everything else doesn't look very impressive. The character animation irritates me. The characters aren't expressive enough and they don't move with as much energy as they should be and that really hurts the humor IMO. Also, the comedic timing seems to be a bit off. This is kind of a bad trailer.
Also, floating eyebrows.

As I said in the Dobson thread, the trailer's not that bad and I got a few chuckles from it. It's still too early to determine whether or not the movie will be horrible, so we'll see when it comes out.

As for this film, it looks dumb, but a kinda fun dumb, like The LEGO Movie was.
Rovio recently released an Angry Birds 2, which was critically panned by everyone due to it's micro-transaction heavy nature.
I have played all angry birds games. they are all awesome. I have eaten angry birds cheezits, gummies, and drunk angry birds soda, bought angry birds plushies, shirts, pillows, and slippers. I will probably watch this movie.

I used to casually enjoy angry birds, I had some plushies and some shirts my father bought me with them on it for some reason.
Also for folks that are saying the birds aren't expressive enough, drawing expressive cartoon birds is a delicate art and I think Rio pulled it off really well even though the rest of the movie was meh
The toucan in particular is excellent, very cartoony and fun
Also, birds kind of use their whole body to emote, so by making all the birds blobs they limited how much they can do with them expression-wise which is why they're really boring looking.
I think a lot of the chimping comes from "OH MY GOD THEY CHANGED THEM" because change is scary. If they made a movie about how they looked in game it would be really fucking stupid, so they at least had to add limbs

It looks okay from the trailer. I found the changed character designs a bit strange, but nothing rage inducing. And some of the jokes are fairly amusing.

I get the feeling they're probably working out the kinks still. After all this isn't being released until next year, so they still have some time to fine tune the animation. That said, this is an interesting idea, and the jokes aren't all terrible. But it seems to be suffering from the case of it being released too late.
