Animals doing strange things - When good animals go weird

I'm making this thread simply because on Wednesday at work I witnessed one of the weirdest fucking cats I've ever seen in my life.
We got a cat in, she went in a cage with 3 other (very easy going) cats. Figureing out where to put new cats is always a crapshoot because the shelter often tells us nothing about them so we just kind of do our best to make informed decisions on where to put cats judging from what we know about the cats we already have.
Anyway she gets in and a few hours later I come to work and she's sitting in a little tunnel hissing at any cat who dares move an inch in her line of sight and the other cars are just like "wtf"
Anyway we decide to take her to the back room (where cats go to stretch their legs and to be visited by potential adopters) and this cat is actually insane because she jumps on my co worker's lap and he pets her and she starts fucking growling like she wants him dead but her body language says she's enjoying it. He's not holding her there and she's getting snuggly but the whole time she's making these awful noises. She never got aggressive with us and was extremely affectionate and didn't do anything to the other cats beyond hissing (after we had her in the back we decided to move her to a cage by herself)
Anyway. Wtf is up with this cat, I need your expert cat opinions cat loving kiwis, will she murder us all when we least expect it

Is this a thread about diagnosing a shelter cat or sharing stories about animal lolcows? Because my birds are being animal lolcows and I kinda want to share.

My dog is a dude but for some reason he prefers to squat and pee. Does this mean he's a tranny?

My boyfriend left a roll of paper towels where my dove could get it and she had sex with it as many times as she could before I threw away the unusable towels and hid the roll. My cockatiel has also been mimicking her mating call which is NOT helping.

My cat Leto steals all the cigarette lighters in the house and hides them under furniture and appliances. Also, when he was a baby he used to drop his dry food in water before eating it.

His quirks include sitting in the bathtub and meowing, getting a big mouthful of food and spitting it out next to the bowl and eating off the ground, and being afraid of everything.

I have a cat who goes after feet for some reason. He'll pounce on your feet even when you're going upstairs. When it's footwear he likes to sniff them and cuddle them. He also loves people so much he'll breaking into the bathroom to be with them and will ask for pets if they're using the toilet.

My cat doesn't do much that's strange, she's mostly super chill and will let you hold her like a little baby.

My sister's cat is insane and constantly meows and will literally jump into your arms with no warning, and if you don't catch him he will dig his claws into your shirt until you grab him.

My Boxer insists on being fed and let outside every morning...at 5 am, right on the dot. I swear to God, I really don't know how the damn dog does it, but it never fails. He's more accurate than our alarms.

It's her way of saying "I'm FUCKING ANXIOUS HOOMAN! FIX IT! NAO! I LOVE YOU, DAMMIT! YOU CAN DO IT!" I've had lots of new additions do that to me as well. Glad to hear that she's gotten normal which means she acclimated.

Smart kitteh. Knew his baby teeth couldn't handle the dry kibble all that well/that it hurt his teeth. Bet the behavior stopped once his adult teeth grew in. And the stealing? Yeah, I had a cat that used to steal all the fucking socks and do the same thing. *sigh*

Our herd of kittehs do the same thing. If you are using the bathroom, you'll be sitting there, minding your own business, and BAM BAM BAM BAM! If you didn't shut the door properly, two or three of them will come tumbling in as it bursts open because they have FLUNG THEMSELVES BODILY at the door. And then through the open door you'll see the dog, peeking around the corner of the hall as if to say "Damn. I'm so sorry, man. I tried to tell them not to."
