It's one thing when the villains are rapists. It's something else entirely when the protagonist is the one doing the rape.
My point was that they going to completely ignore any shit thing that happened to the protagonist and stand up for the girl despite her obvious antagonist/legitimate evil bitchiness because Twitter.

Rika, you've literally been through the Massacre arc world, this isn't anything new to you. This is the third time something about the Massacre world is being reused. While in the game shop looking for items to auction off, they find mahjong pieces laid out and decided to try and see if they could pull off tsubame gaeshi, which was honestly helpful to see visually since I personally don't know anything about mahjong outside of the PC freeware.

Also this is actually bullshit, because if Akasaka's injured here, it's already too late for his wife. There's no point in cutting back to this after he tells her she's Yukine's savior because she warned him to go back to Tokyo before he and Ooishi went to scout out Takatsudo and have their scuffle with the Yamainu. And the way she says "I don't want to die here" is too overly-dramatic. In the 2006 anime, she sounded dejected from exhaustion which helped to further emphasize how much older she actually was, mentally, since for a time she was able to be sent back that far to interact with Akasaka. And unless this is a flashback to her first attempt to ask Akasaka for help when she's "prophesying" the Watanagashi deaths, the way she said it here comes off as phoned-in.

Now this:
higurashi02.png

This is where the Massacre world will diverge, since in Massacre, even though Akasaka showed up, he was not directly in or near Hinamizawa when she needed him most, which is what made her come close to giving up on that world.

OH, NEVER MIND. This is a goddamn comedy now. (Seriously, I was this close to laughing out loud over this.)

The worlds that followed this one seemed more interesting, but thinking about it, they wouldn't make sense with Akane Sonozaki and Kiichirou Kimiyoshi going nuts given Rules X and Z. I think Ryukishi is just pulling stuff out of his ass at this point since instead of bothering to show us the progression of how it affected these characters, fuck us, I guess. How much can you troll your fanbase until they get pissed, do you reckon? 'Cause I think this is going beyond trolling.

Also it's actually disgusting how much violence has been going on since Higurashi was never about the violence. The violence was sparse but shocking because one of the moral lessons of Higurashi is how murder is murder no matter what, and that it never ends well for anyone, as in most worlds, killing someone ends up triggering the domino effect leading to the Hinamizawa Disaster. Throwing us into violent scenarios at the end of each world is actually missing the entire point, unless Ryukishi's entire point is to torture Rika because fuck Rika, I guess. Whether Takano and Tomitake's disappearance is the cause for why Rika dies much earlier than expected is still up in the air, but it more-or-less just comes off as kicking Rika while she's down for the lulz.

Legit, Higurashi fan fiction is more cohesive than this and less insulting in their violence. This is just becoming guro when that was never Higurashi's intent. Again, this better be a Bernkastel origin story because that's the only other way to explain this shit--although if it is, how does that explain her knowing she, as Rika, goes to St. Lucia's Academy when she was expelled after "Dice-Killing"?

Have you even read either of those manga? Or do you just enjoy spouting /a/ talking points you mouthbreather?

Your whole post honestly just sounds like you reeks of "I'm too smart to enjoy shonen." And at the same time you are really too retarded.

Enjoy sniffing some online-bought panties while jacking off into some onahole while watching your even more shit than shonen / degenerate moe anime you mongoloid.
And change away from the Emiya pfp he doesn't deserve to be the pfp of such a smoothbrained retard.

Higurashi Gou's animation is so goofy it sucks all the horror out of it. Mion shaking Keiichi on the ladder looked like someone shaking a paper cutout back and forth, same with Akasaka's... whatever that was. Immediately made it unenjoyable because it was like a parody of itself. Visual novels have animation like that for a reason. Anime is not animated like visual novels for a reason.

Watched the first season of One Punch Man for the first time. Can't believe I put it off for so long. It was really good.

Also decided to watch Haikyu!!

Never thought I'd get invested in a volleyball anime of all things but here we are.

Meant to post this yesterday, but January 11th marked the 14th anniversary of Hidamari Sketch to appear on Japanese television screens. It was only a couple of years ago when I found out about this show just randomly. Also, it reminded me of a more light hearted version of Madoka Magica, and I found that show to be the edgy sister of the two.

Yes, I’m very late to this, but happy belated 14th anniversary to one of the kāwaii anime that still rules.

The haunted house episode was adorable to me.

Finally finished reading all of Re:Zero after learning how much shit they cut. It took a while, but I felt it was well worth it. If you're interested in Re:Zero, I'd say reading the wn is the better way to go.

Al being from Japan is the most egregious cut scene, but its more in the line of characters getting cut, Arc 4 gets seriously condensed (there were no magical stones doing the heavy work in the wn). Rem scenes get cut, both were seriously considering a polygamy route before she got whale'd and Emilia's character is handled better.

The side stories also really help fill in a lot of the gaps in the story, and go more in depth into the surrounding countries and characters.

I got Sakura Quest. The art style looks pretty. I was debating between it and Shiraboko. Theres another series they need to do a complete bluray for that Iroha (?) show.

I assume they'll show the MC getting raped in that new show. Equal opportunity sexual assault all around. I await the ANN salt.

IIRC, Break Time usually fills the stuff the anime misses.

I'd still say its worth checking out the web novel and the side content, there's also the "April Fools" IF side stories where the author writes alternative endings (what if Subaru didn't jump off the cliff during arc 2, what if he took Echidna's contract) that I feel are worth reading. Though, if you're an animeonly you have to be careful about reading them due to spoilers.

Speaking of web novels, I'm enjoying the Mushoku Tensei anime. I remember starting the WN years ago but at some point I just fell off of reading them. Looking at some discussions about the second episode, it seems a lot of people have problems with Rudy's past self and to a lesser extent the Roxy masturbation scene.

Started binging Non Non Biyori. It might be the most wholesome thing I ever watched (nevermind the great humour). And Renge is the most adorable anime child ever.

check out yuru camp next, I like it even a bit more than NNB, and it's perfect to watch during cold season. season 2 just started (together with NNB s3), and it's just perfect.

only one I've watched of the three (got sakura quest here but didn't come around watching it yet) - it's good. was kinda ambivalent at first but over time it grew on me.
reminded me to look into more mari okada stuff, although I know anohana will probably destroy me.

Reading through Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You was quite enjoyable. It does stray into the usual shounen romance tropes (i.e. airheaded crush, know-it-all younger sister type, outlandish characters, exponential coincidences, etc.) but otherwise it is a really endearing story about two (very) young adults discovering the intricacies of their mutual love and marital bliss together.

It isn't as over-the-top as His & Her Circumstances and isn't as grounded as Maison Ikkoku but from what I've read it seems to be a very serviceable vanilla romance story with very little fan service. It almost has a wholesome quality to it. Almost.
