The games are not only Visual Novels with the manga and anime, and it will pretty derail Visual Novels (though it is pretty dead). I'll work tomorrow on a somewhat comprehensive thread.I mean there is a thread all about Visual Novels. Why not just move the discussion there?
As for this response, I disagree with your reasoning behind shakanontrice. I don't think it was about "muh transrights" and more a symbol of the real truth behind Yasu/Lion's gender being inside the catbox. It was never directly confirmed if Yasu/Lion was a boy or a girl in the VN either and it was clear that it was the intended answer from Episode 1 of the VN and with all of the themes that the story lays down on you.
I have read Ciconia as well, put my thoughts in the VNs thread. It is interesting so far, but the first phase is a bunch of setup and worldbuilding, which is necesscary since it's introducing the readers to a new world entirely. I think R07 did say it would be a mystery, but the general mystery would take a backseat to the sci-fi elements. There are some crazy theories already out there, but all most people can do is wait for R07 to stop milking Higurashi and make Phase 2 already.
I've started reading some of Higanbana a little bit ago and it's much more grounded and downer-y than the rest of WTC. I also like some of the music of RGD and I'm looking forward to reading it just for that aspect.
As for something non R07 related, I've been reading Dungeon Meshi and holy shit this is the best cooking manga I have read. It's a great comedy manga with a lot of worldbuilding that actually leads to something worthwhile. I highly recommend it.
The whole thing there is thatJust more proof of what awesome people the Ushiromiyas were.Yasu was raised as a girl because his junk was torn off when Natsuhi pushed him and the servant off the cliff. Nothing to do with #TransRights. That said, John Money would've been proud.Granted, some of the whole Yasu thing is kinda iffy. Like, how did nobody figure out Shannon and Kannon are one person?
I think that really depends on your definition of good person, but he seems to be learning to be a better person. It's all very human, as are the people around him, and that's what's great about it. I think it's more that the main character starts as a shitty loser like them and when given a do over decides to work at being better. He doesn't play the victim like they do. Who cares if he's a bit of perv.Thomas Talus said:
The protag of Mushoku Tensei starts as, and often continues to be, a venal, self-centered perv, but he's still the protag and I've heard he gets somewhat better over time. Trash people on twitter want him cast into outer darkness to suffer eternally because he's not a good person, the beam in their own eye being that they too are not good people.
I haven't read the original, but from what I've heard the anime tones things down a lot and he originally did things that border on surprise sex later in the story.I think that really depends on your definition of good person, but he seems to be learning to be a better person. I haven't read ahead in the manga, but I know his dad pulled the "Surprise sex you didn't know you wanted" on Lilia, but given later events maybe he wasn't that wrong. I'll judge it when we get there, but it's been a fun ride thus far. I don't really trust the people who seem to hate this to accurately report things.I haven't read the original, but from what I've heard the anime tones things down a lot and he originally did things that border on surprise sex later in the story.
Would you take social media tears and begging to be hired by another company instead?Ex-Arm is proof that anyone involved with Crunchyroll needs to be shot in the streets, no questions asked.

I'm gonna recommend that you avoid the manga until you've read the Light Novel/ Webnovel. the anime's fine to keep watching, it's a much more faithful adaptation than the manga.I haven't read ahead in the manga, but I know his dad pulled the "Surprise sex you didn't know you wanted" on Lilia, but given later events maybe he wasn't that wrong. The judges were true men of culture, though, they didn't ban Interspecies Reviewers.Just want to point out that while I was thinking about watching and reading Inuyashiki for the first time, Russia is apparently banning it in their home country, along with other well-known ones.
Not sure who got to Putin, but it says a whole lot that that one anime that I was preparing to read the manga for and watch next month is getting banned over there.
I think it’s a sign.
I really like how realistic certain anime/mnaga such as Kimi no Todoke are. It might not be very adventurous or like slice of life genres, but it's absolutely wholesome in its presentation. Sadako Kuronuma is such an interesting and relatable main character.

That really is hilarious. Though why Russia is adopting the THINK OF THE CHILDREN stance at this point is odd.The judges were true men of culture, though, they didn't ban Interspecies Reviewers.
It's more a "embargo" than anything, probably, Russia is trying to sign some deal with Japan and need chips. Or judges are being retard. That really is hilarious. Though why Russia is adopting the THINK OF THE CHILDREN stance at this point is odd.
Agreed, I read the manga & my goodness, it's objectively better drawn than the anime, even if it's because the anime isn't drawn at all.Ex-Arm is proof that anyone involved with Crunchyroll needs to be shot in the streets, no questions asked.
I dropped that anime long ago, did it get good by any measure?New Higurashi Gou episode shows that apparently Ciconia is also part of the universe, R07 made his own MCU, the 07CU. By the way, I don't know shit about either Umineko or Ciconia yet. I just know "Vier", "Mitsuyo", "Specimen", & "Ciconia" were in sentences together at times.
Edit: I just did my research & something came out
This is just some Nippon fuckery I think may be used here:
Vier: Some character in Ciconia
Mitsuyo: 34 (3: miitsu, 4: yō)
LD3105: Lamb Delta Satako
Lamb Delta: (Is that how it's spelt? I ain't googling that, it's on my read list, I could ruin it more than the show does, without any context) if it's an Umineko reference, she's the most talked one I've seen in every comment on it, maybe it's some codeword.
3105: goroawase. This one is a wordplay on numbers.
