Haha, just an unfortunately unavoidable side effect of a “general use” thread where it’s kind of expected that most of the readers HAVEN’T watched wha ever you’re talking about. Though yeah, personally I’d prefer spoiler tags instead of the blurred text unless it’s a line or two.

My feeling is that at the moment a manga’s male and female leads say ‘I love you,’ it’s like their story comes to an end. So because of that, it’s important for them to not express that feeling in words.

If they don’t say it, they may sometimes fail to make an emotional connection, or misunderstand each other. They may wonder ‘This person is standing right in front of me, but I don’t know how they feel about me.’ Sometimes, though, right then, the other person will do something that makes them think ‘Maybe they really do like me,’ and that’s such a happy moment.

‘I love you’ isn’t something you can only express in words. I want my readers to be able to pick up, on their own, that two characters love each other. But I build it into my stories that the characters themselves don’t quite realize it. I spend my days thinking of satisfying ways to do that.”

The author of Kakerugi came out with a revenge story about a npc character getting revenge on obvious stand ins of popular isekai protagonists for being cheaters.

While it could be fun, it comes off as a little petty. People keep comparing it to The Boys, but the issue is that these characters were either morally grey enough in their original works or not particularly powerful in the first place.

That being said, I want to see how exactly they turn Katarina evil.

Meant more in a meta way, it starts with what I think is supposed to be the stand in for Rudy from Mushoko Tensei murdering an entire village and raping the dead body of the protagonist's childhood friend.

Also I had a thought about that a possible interesting "isekai" story on a young british guy in the 1800 being drafted to explore Africa. So he's killing black warlords and fucking half the continent with the mystical power of gun. Would be politically incorrect as shit.

Most likely she’ll act like the game’s depiction of Katarina before getting her memories

Seems like this story is what the mangaka considers a more honest depiction of how these characters would act given all their past life choices. Definitely see that with the Rudy stand-in

That Don Will Dead character seems like miss because my first thought was that he was a Good Value knock off of the protagonist of Ancient Magus Bride, not Ainz.

I’m not sure which surprised me more - that this appears to be a RWBY shoutout, of all things, or that RWBY is now old enough that you can have a character who was in 8th grade when it came out.

I like that the former club president's cousin is trying to get Naoto (Sempai) to be more proactive with Nagatoro too but that page isn't from Nagatoro-san chapter 84, it's from Lonely Attack on a Different World chapter 64
