I just watched the Fate/Stay Night: Heavens Feel 3 movie.

And holyshit the animation is nuts. I get it is Ufotable.

But I thought the animation quality would dip some since they were working on Demon Slayer around the same time.

Nope.

I'm not that familiar with Ufotable but wouldn't it be similar to Kyoto Animation pre-2019 in that there are multiple teams that handle different projects at once, like how Tatsuya Ishihara's team generally handled more dramatic projects like Sound Euphonium while Yasuhiro Takemoto (RIP) helmed comedies like Dragon Maid?

I'm sure that is the case.

It would seem the main directors/teams currently are: Tomonori Sudō and Haruo Sotozaki. Sudō does the Fate/Stay Night movies and Sotozaki does all Demon Slayer stuff(Series and Movie).

It probably belongs at the unpopular opinions about anime, but the kind of over the top fights falls flat for me, since it's just a lot of particle effects and character zooming across a battlefield that may as well be a huge void.

I'd rather have a slower fight with choreography and a location that the characters actively use

Nah, I can understand that. I'm usually the same way.

The over the top fight for Alter Saber Vs Rider works for me tho.

As it is a race against time here to stop Avenger/Angra Mainyu from being born. So both are just unleashing their strongest most over the top attacks to take each other out as quickly as possible.

So ZLSR finale dropped AYY LMAO. Hope Kotaro isnt dying though

Was decent overall, shame it didnt play on the whole zombie aspect a bit more but it was nice. Felt like everything was resolved before the final ep so it was just there to be the concert. I'd rate it a bit better than s1, ep2 and the Yugiri 2 parter the highlights

IIRC part of the ritual was Kotaro using his own life force so they've probably reached the point where it's actively hurting him (or the first time we've seen it actually happen on screen).

One of my favorite mangas now turned anime (Kanojo no Kanojo) just dropped a new trailer yesterday:

Between this and Jahy-sama, I have to say that July might be even a better month for anime as a whole. 2021 has some great anime come out so far.

If Togashi suffers the same fate as Dr. Miura, I’m going to have to question if Hirohiko Araki is going to be okay.

Wait, what episode was that? All I remember him saying about how the zombies were made was it was going to take a while when he thought Maimai was dead. Aside from that, the only mention of the process was the Jufoku in the 1880's ranting he could raise an army of the dead if he was at full power

I'm convinced Araki is more man than machine, doubt even dying could slow him down.

I probably am misremembering, to be fair.

Mark my words, it will involve the USA army.
Not only will it involve the US Army, but the MC is going to be a part of the army and have a special ability to be able to go up in the abyss. Expect something like the live action Monster Hunter movie plot. I feel like something like Man vs Wild, where they focus on the worldbuilding on the series would work too, but it's most likely going to be the most generic shit / Cuties 2.

Nah, no way it will have actual children in it. For all the shit hollywood does it didn't reach complete pedophilia like the french do (yet).
The plot will probably in our world, where the USA government discovered the abyss during the 60's and explored it ever since. The main character is 18 year old Rachel (played by Milla Jovovich), the daughter of a female USA army officer who went into the abyss to explore it. The mother disappeared so Rachel sneaks in into the island where the abyss it to find her. She sneaks in with guns she stole, a token smart and powerful black women and a wacky fat scientist from the army only to find Regisse (played by The Rock) and from there they beat the evil Trumprewd who wants to abduct all the poor defenceless denizens of the abyss to sell them to PMCs.

All I know is that in Made in America Made in Abyss Riko (probably spelled Rico) will somehow be just as good at fighting as her friend Reg the Indestructible Cyborg with Beyond Human Strength, Tether Arms and A Disintegration Blast instead of a person who half paid attention in flawed classes and has no fighting ability whatsoever.
