Nah, no way it will have actual children in it. For all the shit hollywood does it didn't reach complete pedophilia like the french do (yet).
The plot will probably in our world, where the USA government discovered the abyss during the 60's and explored it ever since. The main character is 18 year old Rachel (played by Milla Jovovich), the daughter of a female USA army officer who went into the abyss to explore it. The mother disappeared so Rachel sneaks in into the island where the abyss it to find her. She sneaks in with guns she stole, a token smart and powerful black women and a wacky fat scientist from the army only to find Regisse (played by The Rock) and from there they beat the evil Trumprewd who wants to abduct all the poor defenceless denizens of the abyss to sell them to PMCs.
Maruluk will be a tranny and Ozen will have the dyke haircut as well as an implied romantic affection for both Lyza and Riko. MCU-tier Jokes will ensue.

So I don't know if it's due to it being Pride Month or what, but I decided to read through Blue Flag since I remember the ending upsetting people with it having main guy getting together with his (male) best friend. Reading it all at once I'm kind of surprised at people complaining it came out of nowhere since I felt it had some nice subtle build up, doesn't really feel like author swerved on pairings in the last minute. Maybe some people are just really bad at picking up on that kind of stuff?
I actually liked how sudden Taichi breaking up with Futaba came and how they don't really give some big excuse about why it happened, felt a bit more natural with how relationships sometimes just end. They were already hinting that Futaba wanted to go to a far away university that would have also spelt the end of their relationship because of distance.

The whole reveal and fallout of it getting out Touma liked Taichi was interesting to read about just to see the reaction of those around them. You had the creepy fujo shippers (probably based on real life comments the author had heard) that complained Futaba was "getting in the way" while just fetishizing Taichi/Touma and the interesting development of people treating Taichi like the villain when Touma wouldn't show up due to Touma being more popular. Laying the blame on him when if anything he'd be the victim of wild rumours and one sided confessions. I also really enjoyed the chapters from Touma's perspective since they felt so rare.

I remember first hearing about the series off /a/ where it of all places seemed to hold it as being pretty great, they were also mainly of the opinion that the gay wasn't sudden. There was also the interesting thing pointed out of every time the pov is from Touma looking at Taichi, the latter looks a lot more attractive than normal. Funny how the reddit discussion seems to be the opposite.
Touma is also just super adorable every time he pulls the :) face. Would highly recommend the manga if you don't mind it dealing with lots of high school relationship drama and, of course, gay stuff. Might check out the Bloom into You manga too since I really enjoyed the anime.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Hollywood has the desire to adapt a Made In Abyss movie of all things. I doubt it's going to get anywhere far though.

See, something like Made in Abyss I feel could totally work as a Hollywood movie if it had the right people on it. Obviously it would probably be missing some of the more questionable stuff (like Main Girl tied up naked? from what I remember), but you could absolutely capture its tone and otherworldly feel with the right team/director. You need someone good at creating that creepy, close to overwhelming atmosphere that feels almost alive which radiated from the abyss. I can't think off the top of my head who nowadays would be any good, but at least if they gave it to someone like Denis Villeneuve you might get something interesting (guy directed Arrival, Bladerunner 2046, and most recently the new Dune for reference) even if it might not have been a 1:1 adaption. Problem is that this guy, looking at what little he's worked on and that they don't point towards him being capable of that specific requirement, doesn't inspire much confidence.

While out jogging, I had a pretty cool idea how a Tanya the Evil game could have a unique morality gameplay mechanic.

Basically, sometimes during a mission you'll have a moral choice to make where the choice is either an unquestionably brutal thing to do which is the most efficient way to win the fight, or alternatively the "nice" option that's not efficient. For example destroying civilian structures to prevent the enemy army from advancing easily.

Doing the brutal choice will however fuck you over in the following missions due to unseen repercussions because Being X will deliberately punish you for it.

The big twist is that doing the nice options will net you the bad ending of Tanya surrendering to Being X.

A reverse Undertale basically. I'm fine with it, as long as it make people seethe. Because being nice will never give a good outcome.

Japanese voice actress Ai Kayano has triggered a fierce online debate with her social media posts about visiting the Yasukuni Shrine, the controversial memorial in Tokyo that commemorates millions of Japan’s war dead, including convicted war criminals.
In a YouTube broadcast last Thursday, Kayano said she had recently visited the Yasukuni Shrine, describing it as “comfortable” and adding that the air there was fresh. She also mentioned the visit on her Twitter page, although both posts have since been deleted.

In response, KonoSuba was taken off Bilibili.

People are stupid, many people find graveyards/shrines nice to just relax at. It's quiet and peaceful.

Given that the CCP is literally paying Chinese citizens to be outraged, I believe the reaction is completely and totally manufactured. You are aware of the 50 Cent Party, yes?
Yeah it's like hating on some random Germans who are generations removed from the events that transpired during WW2. Definitely manufactured.

Any recommendations for someone with a modest 30ish anime and about 100ish manga under their belt? I'm not a huge fan of slice of life or faggy Isekai
