A user on Twitter claims that the actor raped her when she was 17.

A post accusing Ansel Elgort of sexual assault is going viral on Twitter. In the post, a user going by the name of Gabby, with the handle @itsgabby, claimed that she met Elgort after sending him a direct message when she was just 17. Elgort allegedly replied, and the two of them eventually had sex, she claims.

Her story continued, and she explained that she was a virgin at the time she claims they had sex.

“I was sobbing in pain and I didn’t want to do it,” Gabby wrote in the post.

She said that, although she was sobbing, the only thing Elgort said was “we need to break you in.” She continued by saying that she disassociated from the moment mentally, and added that he knew how young she was at the time. She also claimed that The Fault in Our Stars actor asked her for nude photos, and wanted to have a threesome with her and one of her dance friends.

In the aftermath of the alleged assault, she said that she wondered what she did wrong, and didn’t tell anyone because he said it would “ruin his career.” Now, years after the assault, she said that she still experiences PTSD and goes to therapy because of the assault. She said she’s ready to talk about it because she wants to heal and to let other girls who have had similar experiences know that they aren’t alone.

She also said that there was “much more” to her story, but she didn’t want to post it all. In order to back up her claims, she also posted a photo of herself with Elgort and a picture of a phone that appears to have the first messages the two shared. In them, Elgort gives her his private Snapchat handle and asks her not to give it out to anyone else.

Since the post went live an hour ago, it has already been liked more than 30,000 times and retweeted more than 18,000 times. As her story goes viral, users across social media are responding with harsh words for the actor, who’s set to star in Westside Story later this year.

“If you’re defending Ansel Elgort in any way please unfollow me right the f**k now,” one user wrote.

“Put Ansel Elgort in jail and let him rot there canceling him won’t do shit,” another remarked.

Meanwhile, @itsgabby has received praise for being brave enough to share her own story.

“Your courage to be able to share your story despite the things you’ve gone through is unfathomably admirable. We are completely and 100% right behind you,” one user tweeted.

They tried to do the same thing to the comedian Chris D’Elia yesterday. They’re letting Twitter posters count as real evidence that definitely will not be manipulated in front of a court of law.

When did the concept of an actual investigation of literally anything become so untrendy that most people deny one should happen and we should just believe and accept shit on social media? I mean the fundies had at least a book and weird shit in the corner with carrier pigeons.

>random groupie whore hooks up with famous dude
>gets butthurt and salty when he dumps her for another random groupie whore
>makes up nasty allegations out of thin air to get back at him

a tale as old as time
People are rating you dumb and I kind of agree with you, this sort of thing should be taken to court and not aired on social media, but this sort of thing happened to Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse.

He was found innocent and some people could say "Well the courts are fucked up and biased and thats why we dont go to them, the police do nothing (and I kind of agree with that)" but then if you accuse the courts of that, and I guess that opens a grander question of what does that even mean then, what does justice stand for? O.J Simpson was found not guilty even though everyone believes he did it, Casey Anthony is another case of that.

even going by her own account of the story, what happened is this:
>she's 17
>she messages him
>she visits him at his place
>they fug
>he says something mean and she gets sad
>also at some point he asked her about threesomes and nudes over text?

17 is at or above the age of consent in most states. if this happend in an aoc18 state then the guy will get in trouble for statutory rape, otherwise there literally is no case at all. no rape, no violence, nothing. just a whore trying to drum up an internet witch hunt for attention and to get back at her ex.

If I'm a hiring manager in 20 years and someone says during an interview "Btw, I was accused of Sexual Assault back in 2020," I'm going to say "Sure, everyone and their dog was accused. I don't care."

These people take away from actual victims. I swear to God being a rape victim is fucking trendy these days. Girls say "teehee I was a sexual assault survivor" like they say they have gay friends or that they're a Sagittarius or whatever

When #MeToo started if I had to take a guess. Brett’s trial also fueled the mentality.

Really it’s just a game of politics now. Support all victims till they are people on your side, try to get as much Twitter brownie points as possible by being an ally, etc..
