What can women expect in return for their money...?What else can you expect from someone with a conviction for indecent assault on a minor and who curates a private collection of photographs of a teenage boy from Neighbours, to perve over?
When are you going to answer the question about your crowdfunder? There was five grand in it before someone offered to cover your costs. You promised it to a woman to help her attempt to obtain justice and to stand up for women and for freedom of speech. You don't appear to have done either. Women did not find a fiver from their benefits to help you buy a three grand piece of kit. That money wasn't a present to you. It was to help you fight on behalf of the women who gave it to you. You didn't. You bailed. All that stuff about how you were willing to go to jail to stand up for women to speak the truth looks to have been bluster and bullshit. Great for clicks, though, eh...
Jennifer James and Posie Parker were annihilated over their crowdfunders and had to account for them; Parker was heavily criticised for using some of hers to buy a camera to use in her campaigning. Surely you haven't used yours to buy a Mac for personal use... James was excoriated for borrowing from hers. And yet now there appears to be no scrutiny, due dilligence, decency even. These crowdfunders just seem an easy way either to make money or to get other people to pay for women to gob off on the internet. Helena Shakatak looks to have made profit from hers. Glinner urged women to donate to it. Who answers for where it's gone? Everyone was warned about Shakatak. Glinner wouldn't have it, Intersex Claire wouldn't have it. Didn't Moody originally declare she had the balls and the resources to fight the good fight - but then asked women to fund it after all (launching her fund the night before Scottow went to court)? Didn't she use it to pay for legal fees with the uni? But at least she was honest about that, even if after the event, and has made some account of where other women's money has gone.
If this abuse of radfems' generosity continues, particularly when so many of them give so freely of funds they cannot spare, it's going to end up with funder fatigue. Other women will pay the price. You're very keen on receipts. Do you not think radfems deserve the right to see theirs?
