No I want to confirm what people assume what he is.Do you want to visit his grave or something?
Not sure what you mean. He was born in 1939 in Mytishchi, Russia and died in Windsor, Ontario in 1993. He used Tomas Schuman as a pen name post defection.Has anyone here tried to dox Yuri?
Seriously.
So in 2020 we have Communist terrorists running around terrorizing our cities. And then the trailer for the new Call of Duty drops. It has a Cold War setting.
And features Yuri Bezmenov
I'd honestly be more disappointed if it was a shallow publicity stunt than if it was muh Russian hackers.MULTI-TRACK NARRATIVE DRIFTING!!!
My best guess is that this is either going to try and keep the RussiaGate narrative on life support or maybe there's some "based" guys on the Activison devs using the historical setting of the Cold War as a cover for some sort of allegory.
Something tells me this game's going to be more focused on the single-player story mode as opposed to the primary focus on multiplayer shit like they usually do.
Or maybe I'm just being a dumb sperg and they just want to make a game with the snazzy guns of the Cold War era and the trailer is using Bezmenov clips and footage from Vietnam, the 1968 riots, the Berlin Wall's collapse, and modern rioting as a publicity stunt.
I just hope they don't have the atrocious anachronisms that Black Ops 1 had.maybe I'm just being a dumb sperg and they just want to make a game with the snazzy guns of the Cold War era and the trailer is using Bezmenov clips and footage from Vietnam, the 1968 riots, the Berlin Wall's collapse, and modern rioting as a publicity stunt.
Eh. I wouldn't put that much stock into it. This is a franchise that went so woke they actually ended up making female black Nazis. So in 2020 we have Communist terrorists running around terrorizing our cities. And then the trailer for the new Call of Duty drops. It has a Cold War setting.

Look if I get to fill virtual commies with virtual lead I might actually buy this game.So in 2020 we have Communist terrorists running around terrorizing our cities. And then the trailer for the new Call of Duty drops. It has a Cold War setting.

Brilliant. That's the true definition of equity.Eh. I wouldn't put that much stock into it. This is a franchise that went so woke they actually ended up making female black Nazis.
He is most definitely down with the ideas behind BLM, but I don't think he supports the group. Being in D/FW, he covered the Botham Jean murder, and has been critical of the local news coverage. Many of the pieces about Defunding the Police hit on the same themes Brown brings up. I don't think of him as a hack, he's someone with original insights and a way of phrasing concepts that's distinct. He's gone dark since 2018 and I don't believe he would have done so without a compelling reason. I give him credit for sticking by his principles and having a sense of fight most people can't identify with.
Considering what I wrote above, plus he's always been a bit of a toxic personality/polarizing figure, I'd surprised if he had any meaningful involvement with anyone of import. As others have pointed out, just because they have similar interests doesn't mean that they're directly involved. It's probably more like some sort of "stand alone complex" where they have similar ideologies, or views, and that causes them to react in a similar way.Given his involvement in Project PM and Anonymous, would be surprised to learn he's not involved in Antifa in a meaningful way. For that matter, I recognize themes and content that is distinctly similar to published work progressive luminaries like Zack Exley, Becky Bonds, Judith Freeman, Rosalyn Lemieux, Laura Packard, Ethan Roeder, Jamie McGonnigal, China Brotsky, Deepak Bhargava, Jessy Tolkan, and others.
The point is, even if their work is being copied, it's being copied by people in director level positions capable of distributing it to cells. There's zero chance no one has been in touch with them and none of them are involved. If someone wanted to reveal the leadership of Antifa and move on them, a deep dive into comms over the last 10 years would likely reveal the connections. There are groups capable of this.
Thanks for the feedback.Just chiming in on the Barrett Brown stuff. I've been following him on Facebook at least since his release in 2016, if not before then.

Also, while he hasn't been terribly active in a visible way since 2018, he's not been completely dormant. I assume he's been quiet, in part, due to the terms of his supervised release, conditions that got him picked back up in 2017. He got 5 years back in 2015, he should be completely clear by now.
He's been working on a project (archive) for what I guess could be called OSINT journalism and organizing, I presume; I haven't really looked into it too much. He also just dropped a memoir (amazon archive).
It would seem getting v& kind-of killed the momentum of his fame... and maybe because the government tried to dox his legal defense fund donors (archive), plus the attempts to "fed jacket" him. He did just get out of rehab as well. All-in-all, life is complicated.
From what I've seen he sticks to fucking with the local (to him) D/FW journalists (archive), including casting shade at his own publisher, and the occasional shitpost on Facebook. (edit: more published sperging at D/FW journos)
While he's a lot less visible these days, all things considered, I'm fairly surprised he doesn't have his own thread.

Antifa's cell-based structures works this way, you don't need a conspiracy or top down organization if your foot soldiers are indoctrinated to act and react predictably.
donald trump be like: "I AM DESIGNATING ANTIFA AS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION." but not give the order to cops to mow down fag protesters
The FBI needs to build a case that there's international involvement, then they can hit a FISA court to get intercepts on literally all suspected communications. There are indicators this is already underway and reaching an advanced stage.donald trump be like: "I AM DESIGNATING ANTIFA AS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION." but not give the order to cops to mow down fag protesters
Yes, Canada counts.Antifa's international involvement? Does Canada count? Them shitstains are all over Montreal.
