Jace's competence comes and goes with his medication. Were he smoking pot (which seems to always mix poorly with his meds) and paranoid like he was earlier today watching daytime tv, the interview probably would have turned into a screaming chimpfest as jace screamed, burbled, and cried that Reuben and his trannie clones were coming to kill Jace with 9/11 Street Racing moves and such is as online.

I think he does to an extent, at least when he's off of his meds - I've always likened him to a kid. On some level he knows it's all fake, but on another he REALLY wants to be a marine and stuff.
