Do any of you think Chris will continue his Sonichu comics with even more deranged and nonsensical "plot lines", or do you think Sonichu comics are now discontinued forever, Chris' mental state having completely degenerated beyond the point of no return?

Chris is a 31 year old man. Maybe I have too much faith in him, or maybe too much faith in humanity generally, but I like to believe that he has now realized that continuing to work on Sonichu is stupid. Maybe he has finally realized that there is no commercial future in a hodgepodge of copyrighted characters, or maybe it's because he has worked out that he has very little artistic or writing talent.

This might seem like a big stretch of self awareness for him - but bear with me. Let's remember that Sonichu wasn't just a comic, it was a delusion on paper. The long, slow death of his self esteem and ego may have given him a window into reality. He at least seems to have grasped that the vast majority of true and honest Sonichu fans were just trolls. Is it really so much of a leap for him to have worked out the whole thing is fucking dumb as a result?

Alternatively, he could just be depressed over the death of his father and the state of his life. Depression sucks motivation away, and Chris didn't have much to begin with. He maybe still thinks about Sonichu (he did recently mention a few characters) and he just needs to get up the motivation to start again.

However, this is very valid reasoning to me;

Really, the only way I see anymore Sonichu getting made is if an IRL female potential sweetheart from the ground up ]P met him in person and started requesting he draw again, so we're more likely to get a proper finale first in all likelihood!

There may be Sonichu comics again someday, but it will be artists from here in the CWCiki Forum drawing them, not Chris.

Considering the exponential gain in speed with which Chris dispatched his enemies in the later comics, by now, Chris (and Sonichu and the Chaotic Combo and Rosechu) would've gotten rid of:

-Michael Snyder
-the Jerkudge,
-the Charlottesville PD,
-Rob Bell
-the Burger King employee at McDonald's,
-the pissed black lady,
-the drive-through seinor [sic],
-the El Agave smoker bitch,
-Mimms,
-Lucas,
-Megan,
and Passable-chick-with-big-knockers-who-didn't-blow-me-on-sight #3

...in probably 10 pages, 15 tops.

Not really worth it, then, for a comic that short.

Following Sonichu 4, the most painfully autobiographical issue up to that point (consisting of nothing but old and new Sub-Episodes about Chris's life), Barb told him to stop making sub-episodes.

A parent skilled in raising an autistic child would then go on to elaborate that she means to say that perhaps it isn't wise to put your entire life story out for people to see, especially when you share it through a risky medium such as the Internet.

But, hey, Barb. So all Chris took away from her morsel of advice was to stop confining his life story within the Sub-Episodes and make it the main story. Slowly, but surely, the innocent and bland adventures of the title character gave way to Chris's inchoate rage.

I remember that was Sonichu Issue 4

I don't expect Chris to go back to Sonichu again, mostly because he realized it is stupid and a waste of time- Oh wait, nevermind. Sonichu will be always be the best comicks ever to Chris because HE, Christian Ricardo Weston Chandler made them. Right now the only thing that stands between official recognition from Marvel, Archie Comics and the like are the Damn Twolls and the STRESS

Y'know, Chris coulda been the worlds most accidentally hilarious "Confessional" Underground Comix writer -- kinda like a cross between a brain-damaged Daniel Clowes and a post-lobotomy Chester Brown -- if only he had applied himself.

Judging by the Sonichu forum, there are a handful of artists who feel inspired to pick up the Sonichu story. There is something strangely fascinating about the world Chris created.

And while it may not be commercially viable, there is very little Chris does that is. I've heard a lot of convincing arguments on this forum that he's unfit for almost any job. Even though there is no chance of Sonichu ever making a profit, it gave Chris joy (or something), so that's reason enough to hope he picks it up again.
