I really love cosplaying and have been doing so ever since I was 13 years old. I guess I just love to dress up. Then I wondered if any other Cwcki member cosplay as well so I decided to make a thread about it where we could share our cosplay photos and stuff and maybe our progress we make and experiences while cosplaying, whatever... just all things cosplaying

So, do any of you guys like to cosplay?

I do! Most frequently I'm RED Scout from TF2 because nothing weirds people out more than someone actually doing the Boston accent correctly. I have the nickname "Glasses Scout" at a couple cons. XD

yay! I think a while ago I posted my cosplay of Ursula from FFIV: The After Years... I need to find it again. Right now I'm working on the Toonmakers version of Sailor Moon

I was Ness for halloween years ago, I don't have any pics but I still have the "costume" if you can call a shirt, shorts and a hat a costume. Didn't have his backpack though.

Not at the moment. I've got a partially completed outfit for a Mittermeyer cosplay I hope to complete by next summer.

I made a faun outfit 3 years ago with digitigrade legs, hoof shoes, and horns that I stuck to my head with the magic of Spirit Gum. I don't have pictures of the outfit unfortunately, but I still have the outfit stuffed in my closet.

I would love to cosplay more, but I'm too poor to get any materials and go to cons, etc. I'm not sure of who or what I would cosplay as though.

I don't know if it technically qualifies, but i attend a yearly event in the SoCal desert called "Wasteland Weekend" which is a kind of post-apocalyptic costume party themed on the Road Warrior/Mad Max movies. It's a complete blast and i'd go every goddamned weekend if i could. Here's the video recap from last year.

I know a few of my friends do it, but I honestly could never get into it. I hate Halloween for the same reason. Dressing up just feels like a chore for me. I mean, I get that the whole point of it is to put a lot of work into it, but still, I'd rather just bum around in my usual garb.

I do, I'm a bit ugh about sharing photos though seeing as I don't want to burn anybody's retinas.

I have cosplayed Vanellope Von Schweetz from Wreck It Ralph and I'm planning on doing a Fem!Shaun Of The Dead for a con in October.

I need to completely re-tool some of my Vanellope cosplay though.

To be honest I have a bunch of plans, I'm supposed to be making Princess Serenity dress with my friend for another con in March. Whether I actually get to do it though is another story.

I adore cosplay. Honestly, a part of me is embarrassed to say it, but dressing up is just quite delightful. I go all out; I spend large amounts of money putting my outfits together, I purchase makeup and special contact lenses to better fit the character I'm trotting about as, and one of the best parts is the challenge. Although I have a tendency to lose motivation when something is a tad difficult, in the end, I find myself pushing through and pulling out something spectacular. And I'm no slouch either, I love creating incredibly elaborate garbs that would be best fit for a stage, solely because of my love of a character. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to costuming, and even when I believe my work is perfect, I always find something wrong with it. However, the absolute best thing is the acting! I have always been a fan of theatre and the arts, so getting into character is just an absolute wonderland to me! My current project is that of my forum avatar and personal favorite character Tyrant Valvatorez. He's been beating my arse rather well, but I refuse to let him win. I swore to myself I would wear it on Halloween, and I will not be defeated.

I'm a novice at cosplaying. I enjoy dressing up as a fictional character at anime conventions and seeing people's reactions, but I'm not yet very good at crafting my own costumes. My last cosplay was Toon Link from The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker and I got plenty of compliments on that. The next cosplay I'd like to do is a Redead one from Ocarina of Time, and I'd like to finish that one by this Halloween. I'm halfway finished with the costume.

Would dressing up for Halloween count as cosplay? Because last Halloween, I dressed up as Chris by wearing blue jeans, a striped sweater, and a crudely drawn Sonichu medallion.

A couple of years ago I dressed up as Frank West from Dead Rising for Halloween and was running around town saying "Fantastic!" etc while taking pictures and stuff. It was pretty fun.
