I checked and saw there wasn't a thread. (or that I saw)

Does anyone have any recommendations? A RTS or RPG? The app store is like a shovelware minefield. :c

Vainglory, Tiny Dice Dungeon, Cthulhu Saves The World, RoboZone.

My current personal timewaster is Kingdom Hearts Unchained Key, but that's because I'm autistic enough to install Japanese games on my phonetablet and mindlessly level up without really being able to read anything.

Groove Coaster is amazing. It's one of these music games where you have to tap targets in sync with the song, and IMO it has really cool visuals and a ton of different songs.

Plus it's one of those games that you can perfectly enjoy without spending money on in-app purchases, you regularly get new stages and items by leveling up so it doesn't get old.
I usually get tired of games pretty fast, but I've been playing this one for years.

Recently picked up "Speedy Ninja" and even though it's a super simple sidescroller type free game, it's addictive and surprisingly generous for something that has three different currencies that all can be bought with real money because it just gives you small amounts of the two more money-intensive types for log-in bonuses and completing simple, daily missions.

I also sometimes goof off with Puzzle and Dragons. There, RNG is pretty much king in the short term and even now I'm still not sure how some of the mechanics work in the dungeons, but for a casual game it's nifty enough I suppose.

I installed Crossy Road and I like that a lot. Tetris and Dots are also great time wasters. If you like RPGs try FF Record Keeper, Guardian Cross and Terra Battle.

There's actually a Pac-Man version of Crossy Road called Pac-Man 256. Pretty interesting too since it's based on the Level 256 glitch.

Anyway, you should try Metal Slug Defense. I used to play it a few months ago, defeating a lot of stages, and it's a pretty decent tower defense game.

Wayward Souls is out for Android now. It's like an action dungeon crawler, with functionally different classes. The aforementioned classes are upgradable with coins you get in the dungeons, so you're expected to replay them to upgrade your classes. It's pretty hard, too.

If you want something more like a classic roguelike, try Pixel Dungeon. It's pretty difficult.

X-Runner, which gets a little addicting, Plague Inc, the Pandemic clone, Flow Free, a puzzle game, Run, port of the Kongregate flash game, and Duet, which is very different.

Drastic is a DS emulator on the android store that is frankly amazing. My phone is a cheapo chinese knockoff but it's able to at least run visual novels and pokemon games and such using it, so a real android phone should be able to load pretty much any DS rom.

And there's also always Hearthstone.
