You know, I hate Linkin Park. Their latest album is absolute dogshit, except for the last song. This is actually an amazing swan song for Linkin Park: a beautiful minimalistic pop song with really tired and sad lyrics. This made me sad because it shows the potential they had before the suicide *sigh*

That song was legit sad as fuck though combined with chester's suicide and very out of place when compared to linkin parks other edgelord song.

Most of Post Malone's discography.

I know it's generic trap music, but there's something different about it. Maybe because he's a memer?

I like Miracles by ICP for the meme value, but unironically like Riddle Box, too, even though ICP is in general one of the vilest bands in existence.

Basically any band that starts out being a band but devolves into a political talking points machine.

Like Incubus, for example. I love their old stuff up to "Morning View". (even that album was somewhat gay, but listenable).

They unfortunately jumped onto the "We hate Bush" bandwagon and were unable to keep their fucking political affiliations separate from their music. Not that I loved Bush or anything, but you can only hear that shit so many times before you get sick of it.

Also Brandon started doing shit like this in almost every song, which got really annoying.

I have this really weird hatred for Fleetwood Mac mainly because I can't stand to listen to Stevie Nicks' voice. I turn off my radio almost every time they come on, since I think silence is the better option, but I love Don't Stop.

I hate Neil Young's ready, pitchy voice. But Rockin' in the Free World manages to not do too much of that, is preachy without annoying me, somehow, and just generally rocks.

Plus "kinder gentler machine gun hand" is a pretty creative turn of phrase.

Well Fleetwood Mac at least has 1/3 chance of being fronted by Lindsey Buckingham or Christine McVie for a given song, so there's that.

I used to completely hate Limp Bizkit and Fred Durst, but I actually thought they stole the show when I went to a Summer Sanitarium to see metallica's new bassist be goofy and check out just how awful the St Anger tunes were in person (they're bearable live since Lars doesn't use pots and pans on stage, but still suck).

Overall the show sucked balls, but Fred Durst was super entertaining and got the crowd energetic after most everyone had fallen asleep thanks to the musical stylings of Deftones and Mudvayne. Even got me excited for Metallica.

So while I dislike everything Limp Bizkit has released, when they covered Sanitarium that one time it was pretty great. I would probably check out an album of Limp Bizkit covering some songs.

I never got the selling point of Gorillaz, but this song recently came up on my YouTube related feed, and I think it's pretty good (forgettable after a bit, but good):

It's got a summer feel, I guess?

I know it's like, a cardinal sin to like any Nickelback songs online, but despite them being flaming shit, I like "Leader Of Men".

I fucking hate Sting, as a musician, as an actor, as a person, as a concept, but maybe it's because it was in Leon but this is one hell of a tune.

I would not spend 50 cents on a Gwar album, but I would gladly spend 50 dollars to see Gwar live again.

The Earth - Faye Wong.

The singer is a cunt and ridiculously overrated; the lyricist (Lin Xi) is notorious for writing nonsense. But this song, quite likely inspired by their common interest in Buddhism, hits you right up -- the ultimate realtalk-asspat song.

The sky does not always clear after the storm
The sun never promises rainbows
Your guileless face, then
Is not a sign of ignorance

Love may not conclude to your satisfaction
Solitude does not always end in fear
The only certainty in life:
The pain at the moment of birth.

I wish your eyes will only see smiles
I wish your tears will affect people
Wish every of your dreams to come
Will not vanish for naught.

The Heavens and the Earth
If they are indeed worthy of songs
It is because of you who enlivens them
Vast Heavens, great Earth
Things are less fathomable than you think
I can't bear to deceive you
Hope you will understand.

Hope you can find out
Where you are
And which way to go.

The composer is the famous Japanese singer-songwiter Miyuki Nakajima, who wrote this especially for Wong. She picks up this song for herself 11 years later, but I don't think her version is very compelling.

One thing's for sure, Sting should count his blessings he always manages to surround himself with excellent musicians like Dominic Miller. Hell, the fucker even got on stage with Frank Zappa! Talk about not being worthy!

I don't care that much for Christina Aguilera aside from acknowledging she's a very skilled singer from a technical standpoint, but Fighter is pretty badass:
I just wish the guitar solo wasn't just there as an afterthought for Christie to sing over, and the tone of it wasn't so over-processed. Dave Navarro's no George Lynch, but he can play a decent groovy rock guitar when he wants to.
