Anyone else enjoy obscure soft drinks? -

I'm not much of an alcohol drinker, but I do enjoy different sodas. Some of my favorites are kind of obscure, like Lenninaide, Boylan's Red Birch Beer, Ramune, and Not See Kola. I particularly like Not See Kola because it tastes exactly how I remember Crystal Pepsi tasting. The only down side is many of these obscure or gourmet sodas are pretty expensive.

Fond of ramune, myself. I don't get the opportunity to drink it very often, but it's always nice when I do.

I find that original ramune tastes like Sprite. The flavored variations are good, too bad it's expensive. I don't know if I'd call it obscure, though. I've tried ramune cream soda before, it's...different, but I like it. One of the best sodas I've had was Fentimans Cherrytree Cola.

And I'm once again craving cream soda.

I've had ramune once. I enjoyed it, but damned if I can remember what flavor it was. My boyfriend on a different occasion had the grape and (I think) melon varieties. He loved the melon but disliked the grape because it apparently tasted too much like vodka.

RC Cola is pretty good. I don't think it's very obscure in U.S.A (I found a bunch at a grocery store in Chicago), but I can never find any in Canada.

I had a couple of cans of TaB on the jobsite I was at today. I am also partial to this one type of Mexican style carbonated grape juice called Sangria.

For various personal reasons, I don't drink a lot of beer or at least choose not to, so I opt for soda. Not exactly healthier, but doesn't screw around as me as such.

I love trying regional sodas - Moxie, Cheerwine, Green River, that sort of stuff. One of my many goals in life is to try every soda on this list - http://mentalfloss.com/article/25336/drink-stories-behind-11-regional-soft-drinks. I've tried 10 of them but unfortunately, I can't find a place online that sells Belfast Sparkling Cider and I don't want to travel all the way to California just to get a bottle. I tried ordering it from a guy who sells soda bottles online but he was out.

One good soda brand out there that's kinda obscure and regional is Foxon Park. They're based in New Haven, CT and they make all sorts of great sodas that are made with pure cane sugar and come in glass bottles. Their ginger ale is good, I'm also a fan of their Birch Beer, and Gassosa.

Oh, and here's an awesome soda from Japan:

I know what you're saying - "Champthom, you're shitting me, that's beer, not soda!" Well you're wrong. It's called "Children's Beer" In Japan but I think they call it something like "Party Soda" here in the US. It looks just like beer, has a head just like beer, but it's apple flavored soda. Kinda pricey, it's $2.50 a bottle at the local Asian market but it's pretty cool.

I enjoy two Filipino soft drinks that one can only find at an Asian market here in the U.S.: Sarsi and Pop Cola. Pretty much drank both of them when I visited the Philippines. The former is easy for me to find when visiting Seafood City(An Asian supermarket) but the latter is restricted to one specific location.

Ramune is wonderful, but I don't get up to Seattle enough to buy any. I'm also fond of Sioux City Sarsaparilla. I've not had much luck finding it in Washington, but will try to scrounge some up when I'm back in Nebraska.
