Fuck naw. Dylans always been shit, dude can't sing. He sounds like someone is pinching his nose, I thought Jeff Mangums vocals were bad but Bob Dylan probably started the trend.

It was always intentional, and was really only exaggerated on some songs like Rainy Day Women #12 & #35. It kind of built on the anguished howl he used on House of the Rising Sun 60 years ago. It wasn't supposed to be liked. It was him using the tools of a beat poet inside folk music.

He did it less in his Christian music in the '80s, and with the Travelling Willburys. His range was gone by 2000 and he couldn't do that crap at all anymore, and every album from Time Out of Mind on has actually been pretty amazing. Except the Christmas album he did, that's hit or miss.

It obviously wasn't for everyone. He's an interesting dude, though. I like how he'd shit all over protesters who coopted his music. "Idiots walking in circles", lol.
