I'm pleasantly surprised at how based the replies are.

Given how much MR normally shills for Apple, I’m pleasantly surprised to see them giving Cupertino shit for this, the way it should be.

Like, it’s always the opposite situation in any given thread on the Apple vs Epic lawsuit, where any post supportive of the latter company gets invariably drowned out in ‘disagree’ reactions. Although it is worth noting that Epic is 40% owned by Tencent, so maybe they just hate Chinks?

One thing to note when archiving MacRumors is that there’s even more comments that are worth saving on the forum thread itself, of which the ones below the article are merely a sample of the most upvoted.

They actually use the same forum software as ours for what it’s worth, although their reaction buttons aren’t nearly as based.

With a single exception of Google (which is also debatable), android roms are made by either chinks, azns or poos, even official ones.

Also, in case of chinkphones the likes of Xiaomi or Flyme - your android was already serrated with a rotary saw and has additional anal probe features set up for the external internal security of the glorious nation of China.

I've packet sniffed all Network traffic from a device with Lineage OS installed multiple times. This device had no sim card, it is only possible for it to send data over my home network. Not one questionable connection was made in a 24-hour period. It was all either stuff I requested, or stuff I allowed like checking the f-droid repository for updates.

Not really. There isn't really that much there unless you're actively browsing the web or using an app. That's kind of the point of Lineage OS. Sort the data by IP, export the data to a spreadsheet, remove all duplicates, do a "whois" for each ip that isn't related to a process you specifically invoked(browsing the web for example). Only takes an hour of actual work.

I've done it for an hour for Windows sitting idle, and Windows randomly contacted everything from Microsoft, to Twitter, to Facebook to Amazon multiple times throughout the hour. There was so much shit to comb through I gave up after an hour or so. Not the case for an OS like Lineage.
