Many are since they love to eat durians, a fruit which smells like a mix of rotting meat, turpentine, and gym socks. Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia which is so overpopulated that it's rapidly sinking, is known as "the Big Durian" which should tell you a lot about the smell and people who live there.

The rich ones are fine, and the chicks are hot. The poor ones probably do stink, but that is true anywhere; go sniffing around a trailer park in Arkansas and tell me what you find. Problem is that there are more than 200 million poor Indonesians.
I am ashamed to say that this is kinda true. A lot of my relatives eats something like jengkol or petai which can make your breath and fart really stinks
At the least I suspect that Indonesians who make a career out of spamming internet forums with links to buy knockoff handbags are stinkier than average.
Probably some. I do know from experience that all pajeets are stinky, they smell like old turmeric, cumin, and onions. I fucking love Indian food but the stale aroma will get EVERYWHERE and even come out your pores later on.
I always thought they were just an urban legend, an internet boogeyman of sorts. Not anymore...!

The MRP8 protein, which is coded in the human gene ABCC11 is responsible for arm pit sweat stink (highly unusual - most traits are regulated by multiple genes but not in this case). A variant of this gene highly prevalent in south east asia (especially Korea) significantly reduces odor from sweaty armpits. Some indonesians have this non-stinky variant and presumably are therefore, on average, comparatively less stinky. Unless they eat Durian of course.
Counterpoint, anyone who eats significantly different from you can emit odor different enough to be called "stinky".
