Are we still allowed to watch Chinese movies even though we have beef with China? -

  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.

You can’t tell me these movies aren’t good.

And you know I can’t forget the all-time best one:

Hong Kong movies are the only Asian movies I like. Most Korean and Jap flix try too hard to be deep and thunk provoking. HK movies take alot of inspiration from American cinema so I feel more at home watching it.

I'd recommend anything from Shaw Brothers studios. Especially Oily Maniac, Boxers Omen, Five Deadly Venoms, Crippled Avengers, Disciples of Shaolin, Invincible Shaolin, and Black Magic 1 &2.

those are all Hong Kong movies. don't lump them in with any abomination that comes out of the mainland. actually, a HK movie night idea would be pretty dope.

though jackie chan is a commie bootlicker so i don't watch his movies anymore.

God of Gamblers is one of my favorites. it's on YT

don't forget the classic infernal affairs, which the departed ripped off (actually, it was a conscious homage by scorcese, but most people don't know that)

Why are you even asking this? Jackie Chan, and similar Chinese nationals are all now enemies of the state.

The hardcore patriotic American band "Wheatus" has even recently changed the words to their classic song about Jackie Chan, and his adventures of finding the talismans and whatnot-
To a song that tells us all what a "Punk ass bitch" both Jackie, and his fellow Chinamen are:

I actually saw Infernal Affairs last year. It was really well done, even though I was surprised to find out that they made two movies of it.

Conflating HK with China is the most offensive thing I've heard all decade. I hope you're able to tell the difference when your organs are harvested OP.

Of course I am. In fact I’m willing to argue that Thailand and Philippines movies are a lot more under appreciated compared to Chinese movies. Hopefully they get a lot of traction in the future.
