The problem with treatments is they do a good job at keeping you alive which is great but that is just slapping a band-aid on the problem. It is pretty clear that the strategy we are going with is a vaccine based eradication of the disease just like how smallpox and polio were conquered. It may not pan out but its the direction the world is going.
When you say "slapping a band-aid on the problem" do you mean that a treatment is necessarily post-hoc, it does not prevent the disease?
I mean you or anyone should always keep an eye out for alternatives, you should write your health officials and ask them about Ivermectin and its usefulness, sometimes they will get back to you and explain why it is or is not a viable solution to the problem. You seem like a smart guy who can copy paste data off of the internet with a reasonable level of comprehension of the subject matter maybe get into the health field and directly make a change for the future.
So, a drug that's existed long enough to know it's effects pretty well and what it can do, and it's patent has expired so practically anyone can produce it, is less viable than a 'vaccine' that has been mass tested for less than a year, and has already shown to have many side effects that are pretty bad and that's just within the first few months, yet everyone in the medical community is running defense for it because hail da sience(tm).
What do you think would happen if you asked your doctor or pharmacist about taking Ivermectin for Covid-19? Pretty sure they would give you a funny look like you were some kind of retard who reads twitter posts about "da sience(tm)".
Because twitter posts are the only place that has confirmed alternative meds that already existed on the market and have been shown to work against similar diseases?
Well thank you for the interesting conversation. I'll take your advice and email my local health officials about Ivermectin and it's efficacy as a treatment and prophylaxis for Covid-19. If anything comes of it I'll come back to the thread.

You might be able to convince a doctor of this and at least have a medical excuse so people can get off your back and quit bitching.
If we get a treatment as good as the vaxes, especially once we get it down to at least endemic levels, there will be as much need for them as flu vaccines, i.e. take them if you want them and don't if you don't (which is the real policy currently unless you are in healthcare or something).

Operation warp speed ignored all FDA regulations on vaccine production and skipped past years of testing and R&D. It was possibly the dumbest thing Trump could have ever put forward. I don't blame a 70 year old businessman for not knowing about the production process for a med, but still.
Its been like 8 months. No giant pile of dead corpses due to the vaccine have happened yet, When will you drop that they are deadly 2-3 years from now? Compare Vaccine death rate with the 3rd leading cause of death in the USA for 2020 Which is covid-19.
My point was never that the 'vaccines' would actually cause most people to 'drop dead', though there have been a few outliers that it has happened to. The point is injecting the body with instructions that it would not otherwise get and forcing it to produce something it would not have naturally produced in the quantity it is being produced, especially since it's a protein, will cause problems. They might not pop up in a year, they might not popup in two, but you better believe that there will be rising cases of autoimmune disorders, deficciencies, cancers, whatever the hell else can be triggered from external effects that would have likely not otherwise occured. There was already a list of side effects that could happen with regular good ol' tried and true actual vaccines that simply let the body adapt to a virus without it being at deadly levels. But these could have been triggered whether you got the vaccine or you got the virus in general. And the reward outweighed the risk. Now we're going to be getting injections for every minor virus, injections that have a chance to do more harm than any good, that haven't been properly mass tested ever?
