1a) The current methodology is untested and unproven on a massive scale, we have very little (if any) long-term peer-reviewed data on the effects of mRNA methodology on patients
1b) These vaccines have not undergone enough testing on certain demographics (i.e. pregnant women, children, the 20-30% of us who already got COVID)
1c) There is absolutely zero testing on the effects of closely-related Coronavirus species/strains on those who have received the vaccine, and the possibility exists for an immune overreaction to a sister-species/sister-strain

2) At a population level it has little or no effect, as (the current mRNA types) are non-sterilizing and its viral biology make (quick mutations, rapid spread, animal reservoir) make the vaccine largely useless long-term anyways

3) There is little, albeit largely negative, information on the widespread effects of non-sterilizing vaccines on viral evolution. By removing the element of host sickness, you remove the selection pressure which favors less-lethal substrains/lineages over more lethal/severe symptom strains

4) Even with the vaccine there is absolutely no guarantee that our chicken-shit overlords will let us "go back to normal"

5) COVID-19's infection lethality rate is not high enough to warrant forcing everyone to get vaccinated, especially if the vaccine doesn't stop you from spreading it anyways.

I know of 10 people who have had the vaccine. All of them have experienced bad reactions to it, some of them are still feeling ill after 2 weeks from just the first vaccine being taken. The most common reaction is a severe head ache and soreness breathing

Well, that doesn't coalesce with my personal interactions with people who have been vaccinated, at all. Perhaps, we are both ignorant of what is happening to our friends outside of our sight, or we both don't quite understand how mass immunizations work.

I know dozens of people who got them and the most any had issues was that one had to take a day off of work after the 2nd dose. Studies have shown that severe reactions, like he is talking about, are pretty rare, so statistically that he'd know 10 people who all got them is next to impossible.

Received both doses (Moderna) and I feel fine. Please get the vaccine when you can. Save your life. Save the lives of your loved ones.

Most of this research gets corporate or government funding. The medical industry has an insane amount of political power, so they're going to use that power to sell vaccines. Government is going to keep testing the waters to see what you'll submit to--remember how 15 days to stop the thread turned into demands for years of lockdowns? If you're scared enough to beta-test a vaccine so these people can make money for their owners, what wouldn't you submit to?

Absolutely not. A friend of mine's ex husband recently died about fourteen days or so after getting the second round. I know I'm paranoid and it's probably a coincidence, but I've heard enough horror stories about this thing killing otherwise healthy people to know better. I'll take my chances with the overblown Chinese Flu, and so is the rest of my family and friends.

A good vaccine is properly tested and actually works to stop the spread of what it's made for, not just prevent the worst symptoms or outright kill you. I'll wait a couple years until they actually sort it out and make sure it's actually safe to get.

So, it is natural to be skeptical that they have been working on this technology for decades but never had any success until they were given permission to skip some testing stages in order to get it rushed to the public. Maybe it turns out to be a god send. Maybe it turns out to be the next thalidomide. We probably won't know which it is for at least a few years, maybe a decade or so. It's not even a vaccine according the definition because it doesn't actually contain an inactivated or attenuated form of the covid virus.

I actually don't mistrust mRNA going into the future, I mistrust mRNA technology rolled out with cut corners and insufficient studies/reports/meta-analysis NOW. I'm sure by 2050 mRNA vaccines will be widespread and well-studied; but we aren't there now.
It would be another thing entirely if we were facing some serious disease with an IFR >10% that affected healthy people of all ages and our only hope was in some miracle technology pulled out of left-field; but it's not and we have other options of dealing with it.
