Are you losing interest in Chris? -

I have noticed that this board has been slowing down recently with not many new topics being posted on it. Then again, almost every thing you can discuss about Chris has had a topic made for it. I hardly go to this forum anymore unless there has been an update to it.

I have realized that I've generally lost a lot of interest in Chris. Most of the days I don't even go to the Chris board, just the lolcow section. I talked with CalmMyTits about this and she agrees with me.

Does anyone else feel less interested in Chris than previously?

I agree. I was hoping that the house fire would get something out of him, but all we got was pretty much the usual selfishness (thanks for the package, cwcki forums, but you still need to disappear, trying to guilt his gal pals, etc) but since then we've not heard much from him. I was hoping to hear more about his new life, how things are going in a hoard-free environment, and so on. So far we have got nil, unless Marvin has hoarded cocks we don't know about.

I think we've probably hit a lull period. To be fair, the latter half of 2013 and the wee first few days of January 2014 was inordinately full of Chrissun activity compared to what has been seen/ documented since Bob passed. Further, that fact that Chrissun pretty much lives in his home/ motel room and has pretty much given up on anything more social than harassing former gal-pals via Facebook, I don't know if there will be any resurgence in the near future.

OT, I don't think I've really lost or gained any interest on Chris as of late. It just comes and goes... like the ocean tide... or fatties heading to Taco Bell on their lunch break.

There's only so much that Chris can do at this point. You're not going to see a lot of him for a fair while because, now that he's outside of his home and in a rental, his quality of life has shot up considerably. In clean air, Barb and Chris are probably healthier mentally and less likely to go blitz or encounter serious depression.

When I lived in a hoarder environment for a few weeks, my friend and I cleaned up two rooms (excavating about 50 pounds of trash), dusted both of them ceiling to floor, vacuumed, and then bought a $100 air filter and the quality of air had a huge improvement on life in general. Going from 14BLC to an environment that never had a dust/clutter problem to begin with is going to make both of them much happier whether they realize it or not. There was an email from Chris sent with limited distributed recently, and in that Chris was typing at a level of competence and normality I've never seen before. If he continues to be this reclusive and as sensible as he was in that email, he'll stop being a spectacle immediately.

This has been well known for a while, though. I like the community so I've tried opening up venues for people whom are losing interest in Chris to stay connected in different ways. I'm always open to suggestions on keeping discussion flowing and allowing people to have fun, so if you got an idea lemme know.

I come here mostly for the lolcow section nowadays. Plus, I like the community whenever it is I do get involved with chat or the synchtube room. If Chris has an update, then that's just dandy, but I wouldn't say I've lost interest in him. There's just enough here to keep me otherwise occupied until the next event.

Moving the forum in new directions is a good idea. The only problem with that is that new people discover Chris all the time and eventually show up here wanting to talk about Chris. That'll probably die down after a while, but then what? The ages, education levels, personal interests, political opinions, and philosophies of the users here are all over the map. In the end that could wind up being a great thing or a not so good thing. I don't know.

We all kinda have a special place in our hearts for schadenfreude though, that's obvious. So the lolcow general forums should go on for a good while. I think the "what if?" forum has run it's course though and probably needs to be taken out behind the barn and shot.

I lost interest in Chris about a year ago. Really though, the house fire and LEGO Manchester High videos were unexpected but I don't think there will be much interest in Chris. Perhaps a facebook post or two but not much. Even then, I mostly come to the forum to discuss about other lol-cows like crazed bronies and also talk in the other general threads.

There's always been lulls in content or intel on Chris. I'm willing to wait patiently for the next update or field report. Because Chris' life has been the perfect storm of parental fuckups, hubris and low expectations that I really want to see how it's all going to end. Oh, I know it won't end well and it'll most likely be with a whimper and not a bang, but I just kinda want to see it to the end.

Thing is though, he's still Chris. Even in a better environment he still has the same faults he had before. He's still a spoiled, greedy, lazy, entitled manbaby that always tries to find the path of least resistance and push his responsibilities off onto whoever is closest at hand. He may not tard out as much, and the new living conditions my slightly improve his clarity, but inevitably, he will screw up.

In all seriousness, I'm not following him as closely as I did back when I first discovered him. At this point, I'm sticking around just to see how it all ends.
