Ariel Winter, for those who don't know, is a teenage actress with a really cool name who is known for her role as Alex, the middle daughter on Modern Family. Unfortunately, in recent years she's also become known for a massive legion of creepy fanboys who have been e-stalking her; they're following largely because of the third thing she's known for, her, umm... her... alright she's got big boobs.
But wait, you say. Surely every young actress of sufficient attractiveness has to put up with people like this, right? Well, that may be, but Ariel's "devotees" are especially loud, and especially creepy to me at least for reasons I shall explain in promptness.
First, there's her age. She turned eighteen this January. The fanboys have been around for more than three years. Meaning, yes, she's had adult men orbiting her boobs like pedophilic planetoids since she was fourteen years old. And, oh yeah, she's aware of them. Last year (seventeen years old, if you're counting; not even legal yet) she broke the Internet in half by announcing that she was going to surgically reduce her boobs from an F to D to both reduce back pain and hopefully get the creepazoids to leave. It didn't work. More on that later.
Second, despite her fame Ariel's life hasn't been a very happy one; she grew up abused and slut-shamed by her mother, whom she eventually sued for emancipation and won. She lives with her older sister now. Which brings us to my third point: despite claiming to be fans of her, the Cult of Ariel Winter('s Bazongas) is a surprisingly nasty bunch full of MRA-type. It counts the infamous James Mitchell/werewolf2814 as a member, for one. Suffice to say, getting reduced produced the opposite effect in the Ariel Brigade (pun not intended) and they quickly turned on her, many of them resorting to the same insults she's said her mother used on her. Again, this is an abused, not-yet-legal girl who they claim to like they're doing this too. I'm 99% most of them are full grown men.
So, where do these people hang out? Probably surprising nobody, the largest hive is at reddit, namely r/ArielWinter. Yes, an entire subreddit devoted to people ogling her. You'll notice she's not alone in this - there's an entire sidebar devoted to subreddits about teen to early twenties "starlets," playing to a similar crowd. Man I hope the women in question never find out about this place. Ariel Winter's subreddit in particular enjoys things such as posting about her boobs, claiming her older sister is actually her mother (and thus the abusive mother is her grandmother), and insulting her boyfriend, whom they call "Lurch," as in Addams Family. I'm sure she'd love to meet these people, don't you?
And for the record, even after the reduction she wears a size D bra and is only 5'1'' tall. Ugh she's so flat amirite guys?
