Lately I've been watching old art house movies before I go to bed. I've made this thread for everyone to talk about the most pretentious shit they've ever seen, both good and bad.

Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters is a new favorite of mine, while You Were Never Really Here is coming to the nearby art house theater this weekend.

Carl Theodor Dreiyer's "Vampyr" is wonderful in an art house sense; By the same token, Four Rooms rides the same current sand is pretty bad.
