"Considering the Emergency"? What emergency? There's been no emergency. And why would anyone purchase anything from him when he's already said he can't ship any of the 35+ medallions people have purchased? "Reasonable Request" Has there been any requests? I get the feeling that this has all been demands "Buy more stuff now" and begging "please buy more stuff from me to pay for my mom's teeth" (which he then never actually pays for).

I don't think Chris realizes that "allow me 2 weeks for creation and preparations" and "I'll let you know if a delay occurs" isn't something that's considered ok to do for 35+ people. I think many people could be understanding if it happened to maybe 5 people or something.... but ALL of the buyers? He hasn't shipped even a single medallion yet... not a damn one.

But don't worry guys, Chris's paypal might be in the red now, but he's got a new car and he's surely going to sell those two (or more) cars for a grand total of $25,000!

LOL Omg the comment. Pulling out the full name even! Wow. "We got a new car because Barbara Anne, my mother, needs one!!" I forget... wasn't it Chris who was bitching not too long ago on facebook and on Cole's twitter that he has to cart Barb around to all her stores and such? (Pretty sure it was one of the little side rants Chris had when he discussed the famous October 28th event)

Who's he responding to?
His own emotions take time away from him?

Well, today he said to the world "You paid me money for a product. I chose to buy a car. Therefore you will not receive the product or a refund."

Today he also asked the world to donate $5000 of toys to him.

It seems he received some negative feedback today.

Of course, those who criticized him are being silly billies. As he points out very carefully here, a far more reasonable response is to give him money. I don't see why that is so hard to understand.

The ebay may not be a scam as he has been doing his best (somewhat) to follow up on his orders. The kickstarter, however, is a total scam if I'm understanding the point of kickstarters correctly. Aren't they to fund a project that gives back to the donors? His kickstarter is just giving him free money for toys.

I wouldn't classify the Kickstarter as a scam.

No, Kickstarter projects are not neccessarily supposed to give back to the donors. Sometimes there will be little ways built in, but that is not the main point. And he is being honest about what the money is for.

It's not a scam. It's dumb as fuck, but not a scam.

I think Chris might be reading the forums too. He doesn't seem to understand that when you have no job and all you have to do is the occasional grocery run for your mom then delays don't make sense. Don't sell stuff you can't afford to ship. Your customers come before legos, piercings, stickers, bracelets, and of course cars. If you have bills then you should handle that shit before making promises to people. So now he's holding purchases hostage until he gets more purchases so he can afford to ship the things he promised. Sucks for everyone who bought a medallion. I guess it's the price of doing business with Chris... y'know, beyond the money you already gave him.

What's worse for Chris is that those people can then claim refunds, putting his PayPal further into debt.

Nah they are meant to fund artistic endeavors. The proliferation of game and product kickstarters has led to the perception of the platform being a strange kind of pre-order. The reality is that you are providing a donation to whatever project/cause the creator is working on with its completion or a thank you gift as reward.

I am loving the term "get-up-and-go" vehicle. He says they needed a new "get-up-and-go" vehicle for his mother due to age, but Barb is driving the old van while Chris ended up with the new car. Something doesn't follow there.
