Atomic Heart - i don't know what the hell i'm looking at... but i like it

So... I just randomly came across the trailer for this game, and uh... well, see for yourself:

...it's even more bizarre than Scorn. Imagine STALKER if it was developed by a communist schizophrenic under the influence of LSD.

As with any game, it could be terrible, but I am most definitely intrigued.

You would be correct!...EXCEPT, that was a demo (so only showed a very small slice of what the gameplay would be like) and the visuals are meant to be vomit inducing so...

I'm talking about that demo. And like I've said, it was boring as fuck. You can't just slap textures of shit on the blandest FPS ever and think it makes it better. Scorn is walking Agony's steps. "Oh, look, we have a horror game about Hell with tits and blood and... that's it".

I would wait until release to be honest. If you turn out to be right well, I will take back what I said. Not sure how it was "boring as fuck" when it was clearly meant to be a slow atmospheric experience, and the fact it was just a 10 minute snippet of the full game.

Just don't pre-purchase it and wait for trustworthy reviews.

It doesn't work, because all the "insanity" of it, like I've said, is in textures and ugly enemies. If you swap shotgun and shells with pink tube and little balls it won't add to this "insanity". Like how about turning his fingers into spikes, that he shoots, but with sounds like he is clearly in pain? And to reaload it, you put your other hand on it, it grows inside of it and new fingers appear? Or just fuck it, turn it into pure stealth without combat, confusion+fear is better than confusion+"oh, come here, you ugly bitch".

As for Atomic heart, I want it to succeed, but for now I'll keep my expectations low. This year has already been a trainwreck for games.

Judging from you're response, you just wanted the game to be 100% how you would have done it rather than what the developers wanted and could do with their limitations...because a lot of it sounds like "I WANTED IT LIKE THIS! WHY DIDN'T THE DEVS HIRE ME TO CONSULT!" And "insanity" huh? What? What the heck is that all about? You sound kinda weird since I never mentioned insanity, I mentioned atmosphere.

And Atomic Heart is coming out next year or early 2020. So you're last post is nonsense and you had Kingdom Come, Spider-Man, and Red Dead 2. Hardly a trainwreck. Inb4 Diablo Immortal and Fallout 76 because I can tell you are gonna rage about that as well.

While the environments and everything in them looked amazing, the gameplay was pretty bland. The player himself/herself looked kinda' shit at playing the game so that probably didn't help.

Something about the white hospital looking building gives me the same vibe as all those weird point and click adventure games from the 90s. Like oddly sparse rooms with weird piles of cryptic shit. Looks cool.

Seems the player intentionally used all their ammo so they wouldn't be able to shoot the the android that grabbed them and for some reason that annoyed me.
