Right after Audacity is acquired, this happens. Coincidence?

I have no idea what that isaudacity is for nerds who are too pussy to just pirate audition 1.5
right now it's relatively small change. but if left unchecked it WILL grow and infect all parts of the system. and distro maintainers will have the responsibility of patching it out which is annoying.just remove the analytics code and build it yourself?
I feel ya, but I still endorse pirating 3.0 instead.audacity is for nerds who are too pussy to just pirate audition 1.5
Audition is Adobe's audio program. It used to be known as Cool Edit Pro before Adobe bought it.I have no idea what that is
I would use audition. if it worked in wine. Reaper is pretty good and has a native windows port.audacity is for nerds who are too pussy to just pirate audition 1.5
Yes, you need pretty graphs to keep clueless business types from fucking your software into the dirt. If an uppity bean counter starts chimping about the money it costs to support XYZ, you need to show them a pretty graph that justifies XYZ in a language they understand. If you don't then they'll start slashing critical features while their fellow retards congratulate them for their business acumen. What's up with usage statistics anyway?
Has this ever had any practical use at all and improved anything?
At best someone feeds it to a program to make a pretty graph out of it.
They should probably just take it out of the source. At least they should put a build flag to excluded it.right now it's relatively small change. but if left unchecked it WILL grow and infect all parts of the system. and distro maintainers will have the responsibility of patching it out which is annoying.
Never forget these are the people controlling your budget. What's up with usage statistics anyway?

...and they will ignore every single complaint and move ahead with this change anyway...
If you're on Linux it'll probably be a case of each distro choosing whether to distribute a build with or without telemetry.Should I be concerned? I hardly use audacity as it is and it seems like only new versions will have it. Just don't update.
