The issue of Same Sex Marriage is a controversial one in modern society, it must be said.

You have the people who support it, and the people who oppose it, who are traditionally on the left and right, respectively.

The Turnbull government has begun sending out a letter campaign urging people to vote Yes or No for the idea of Same Sex Marriage.

Now, while a lot of people aren't happy about the campaign, believing it to be a waste of money, there has been the usual advertising by both sides, except one side has been more... vocal and extreme.

I present to you the civilised debate being presented by the Yes campaign.

Benjamin Law is an alleged comedian and SBS presenter, the politician he's supporting raping is Andrew Hastie, who retired as captain in the SASR, the Australian version of the SAS.

In response to the above post, the reaction by the Yes campaign was, naturally civilised.

A petition calling for a woman who appeared in the No television campaign to be deregistered from the medical association and have her licence to practice torn up, despite her not being identified in the advert by name or profession.

The No vote campaign party being stormed repeatedly by gays and lesbians, from kissing on stage, to banners stating BURN CHURCHES NOT QUEERS, as well as chanting of voting no being the same as Nazi Germany.

A skywriter hired to smoke VOTE NO in the sky, with half rate celebrities naturally jumping on the bandwagon.

A protest hit by counter protesters.

To a variety of others, including a woman being encouraged to have sons so they could be raped into being gay in 18 years time, Tony Abbott being headbutted, postal forms being stolen from letter boxes, it's quite frankly ridiculous, and it's expected to go on until November 15, or at least that's when the vote ends.
