I don't know how hard it is to understand that EU is not a singular cultural entity in the same way that USA or Russia are. We don't have any real camaraderie, or even very much connection to what happens beyond our own nations borders, despite being superficially all part of the same pseudo-federation. Most of the Europeans don't understand the language of their neighbouring countries, and due to this, can't even reliably follow what happens in those neighbouring countries. Also, while anti-immigration sentiment has been growing steadily in the past ten years or so, most of the people will not change their voting patterns just because some muslims go on a rampage, mainly because they loathe and distrust the anti-immigration politicians even more than they hate the situation that is brewing up. And I can understand them; I didn't start to vote anti-immigrants of my country even though my city had a terrorist attack some years ago, simply because I will not be intimidated to give power to people who are objectively idiots and who, apart from anti-immigration push for politics that are stupid, conservative and fucking backwards.

In short, since most European voters on ideological grounds oppose bringing back some outdated christian moral conservatism and right-wing identity politics, very little will change in the near future. If anti-immigration parties would wisen up and keep their anti-immigrant stance but drop all the conservative, anti-gay, anti-EU and especially pro-religious moral ideas, they might get to power and things might change. Since anti-immigration stance is heavily married to all that shite, most voters will not even consider them as an option, as even though there are real problems with the muslim immigration, those opposing it come with a package that is a no-sell.

Then you get the situation and government you deserve.

So why complain about the people getting killed by Muslims? Its what you guys voted for. Accept it, accept that you may get killed by the poor innocent refugees and that you are being replaced.

Austria has a government consisting of conservative right and anti-immigration parties. You guys should really read before you talk. This is an incredibly hard situation to fix and the way you talk is the equivalent of a European saying ''lol just remove your guns'' when talking about school shootings.

Not entirely accurate. Current government in charge is a coalition between the conservative right and green party. However, for the green party to get their way in enviromental matters they more or less had to agree to let their partner party (who got a heck of a lot more votes than them) do as they please when it comes to immigration/refugee questions.

Look at a typical high profile mass shooting in Burgerland, you always get reports of multiple shooters. Even here, most people can't tell the difference between a firecracker and a gun shot.

Add in a city with echos, social media nutters that just want asspats for attention, and people mistaking plain clothes police for shooters and this is the result.
