Korra isn't slim, she's thicc.
The only good thing about LOK.Korra isn't slim, she's thicc.
Zuko: Japanese, or japanese white mix.
I never understood why people think the Fire Nation is some 1:1 expy of Feudal Japan. Barely anything about it is distinctly Japanese-inspired in the show other than a few superficial elements like some bits of architecture or the Blue Spirit's kabuki mask.
The Water Tribe also had some elements of Far Eastern Siberian tribes such as some of the architecture in the North and Eksi, The crazy water tribe women. Anybody with knowledge about how fucking crazy some of these people such as the Chukchis were can have a good laugh at that fact.and the water nation by eskimos.
To be fair aren't the Inuit-Aleut cultures related to the far eastern Siberian tribes? Most of them just crossed the Bering Sea during the European middle ages? The Water Tribe also had some elements of Far Eastern Siberian tribes such as some of the architecture in the North and Eksi, The crazy water tribe women. Honestly I wouldn't say it is. It's more like Qin-era China but with steam power than anything else. Even Firebending is distinctly Chinese. It is not an expy but it is a close enough match, j
That's something everyone says but I always thought it was off-base. Almost every civilization in world history has gone through a phase of aggressive expansion and colonization.I always figured that the Fire Nation was a metaphor for the Japanese during WW2, with bits of China added into the mix. Shrug.
Yes they're very related which is why it's not out of place for an asianic setting to have the Inuit. To be fair aren't the Inuit-Aleut cultures related to the far eastern Siberian tribes? Most of them just crossed the Bering Sea during the European middle ages?
Eh, I can see the Japanese elements. They're powered by the Sun, they're technologically advanced compared to their neighbors, and they're fighting against a cripplingly corrupt and broken state and suffering from the strategic depth of their targets. They even got the war crimes element down. That's something everyone says but I always thought it was off-base. Almost every civilization in world history has gone through a phase of aggressive expansion and colonization.
The weirdest part of the whole Burn the Homos thing is in the show the Fire Nation is by far the most socially progressive society.![]()
