With the author of My Immortal finally coming out I thought I would take a minute to talk about bad fanfiction. I'm still wondering how people write that awful----

Most bad fanfictions are hilarious to read, but some cross that line... I thought I'd compile a list of some of the most well known bad fanfictions (for your enjoyment or horror xD)

This would probably be better suited to the "Arts and Literature" section rather than Lolcows, since it is not focused on anyone in particular. You also might want to add links to the ones you are talking about so people can find them easier, and double check there isn't already a thread on this topic yet

Pokemon MASTER is an edgy Pokemon fanfic from way back in the day in 1999, involving everything you would expect a grimdark fanfic to be. Punished characters, over the top violence, unrealistic dialogue, shitty teenage "romance", and a rebellious middle schooler's "against the world" mentality.

It was actually popular back in the day, and it even managed to have its own website, which was taken down earlier this year, but there are archives still available. Enjoy.

I remember reading Pokemon MASTER when I was in grade 6 and thought it was the best thing for the Pokemon Fandom since sliced bread.

Now it's just cringy to read. Reminds me of the cringy Naruto fan fictions from back in the day.

The fact that the author made Ash's real name Ashura was the fucking funniest thing ever.

Anyway I use TvTropes to find terrible fanfiction (not so much the fanfic recs as the things under the fanfiction section of trope pages). Of course it means a lot of my examples are overly edgy sex filled MLPFIM fanfics.
