Yep, he is the guy who wrote "Naruto Veangance Revelaitons", one of the worst fanfics ever written (at least in my books). Also, there's a liveblog about it. Your thoughts?

Well the fanfic involves a God Mode Sue based on the author (even more monstrous than ChrisChan Sonichu or just vanilla Sonichu) named Ronan who messes up with the world of Naruto. Sixty-nine chapters (and an additional epilogue written by his stepbrother who has taken over his Fanfiction.net account which fortunately pulls a Reset Button as in restoring things to before Jake's interference) filled with obviously ultra-horrible spelling, grammar, failure of consistency, and a disgustingly immoral attitude would make the reader bring in a barf bag and gallons' worth of Brain Bleach.

I flamed Jake Tanner when he was on Deviantart. Actually, by that, I mean I mainly replied to his journals and explained in no uncertain terms why he was an idiot, and, a few months after his last account on DA, I posted an entire dissection of all 70 chapters of "Naruto Veangance Revelaitons" and all four chapters of his Evangelion fic; apart from GubGub434's dramatic reading, it's the only completed attempt at covering the entire thing. And, yes, if he wasn't a troll, he was really a sex-crazed idiot. IF you criticised him at all, the only thing he'd have to say in his defense was that his penis was impossibly huge. Search DA for "jaketthebamf" and "jaketisback" to see some examples. NVR's been deleted from FF.net, but it's on Scribd if you look hard enough. Just be warned that it's one of the most brain-breakingly horrible fics on the net.

Presumably "Flaming" would be a better term? It's probably a more accurate one than trolling, given that what I did to him basically amounted to commenting on his DA page and explaining why he's an idiot. I've edited my post just in case, so I don't say that and make myself look more awful than the clusterfuck of a thread I posted in "discussion" did.

Either way, you still went around giving a ton of attention to a guy who may have been intentionally acting like an idiot for the sake of getting attention from annoyed and offended readers. No harm done, though. I remember when I thought My Immortal was a srs fic. You live and learn. Or sometimes you lurk a lot, and then learn.

Rule of thumb: if it's on the internet, it should be taken with a moderate helping of salt. And if it looks really, absolutely ridiculous, it might well be deliberate.*
