Saw this earlier, don't think anyone else has posted it:

So there is a Balan costume in game, however the method to obtain is convoluted and time consuming for some reason known only to the developers.

The YouTuber who read the book spotted something especially egregious about this costume : one hit and it's gone and you need to do the entire quest over again to get it back.

At this point I really wish the game would get a PC release so the community could poke around in the data and fix it. There's the bones of a solid idea there and mods could probably make it entertaining for a couple hours with little effort. I'd definitely drop 3 bucks for a copy in the inevitable bundle.

It technically has a PC release on Steam but it does come with "Denuvo anti-tamper" DRM (unsure if that would prevent any modding?)
Keep an eye on it anyway, I imagine a big price drop is coming soon

Another thing about the Balan costume: Apparently you can't stack them either, you can only have one at a time and if you get hit, it's gone. To get it back you have to farm the drops again.

Most of the clowns who bought this game fit that ideology perfectly. It was a shit product that people bought into the hype of due to the who people who made it and the company who produced it.

Most of the adults, and I say that loosely, who bought this trash fire either played or knew about how bad the demo was.

This has already been touched on, but this video does a good job explaining just how much of the game's content is detailed in the companion book (which was hardly ever marketed for some reason). Details about the characters you help, background info on Balan, Lance, and Wonderworld itself, all of which should have been in the game proper (skip to around the 21 minute mark of the vid):

After hearing how much of the game's details are explained proper in the book, I actually feel a little bad the game turned out like it did. There was potential here for something good, but multiple bad decisions really screwed this game over.

Even among all of the other barebones content, I found the QTE bonus games in the demo to be extremely lazy. I haven't really looked into again since, but did they at least add new QTEs for later levels?

Also, Balan looks like if NiGHTS put on the Phantom Theives' Logo from Persona 5 and fell into some paint.

They have a server. I just lurk there, but before the rule overhaul, there was a ton of spregging of people saying Balan and Lance were "sexy", creepy roleplaying and people chimping out over Youtuber reviewers giving their opinion on the game. One person was banned for posting NSFW content several times.

There are some people that like this game for the art and the music, but know the game was a dumpster fire. Some fans are blaming Square-Enix for the game being a disaster.
