Weird to hear people hating on stone in Kirby. I always thought it was one of the better powers due to the collision invincibility, high damage and easy aiming, especially against bosses like the knights who can easily outspeed you if they decide to do a long swipe when you’re trying to engage with hammer or something similar.

Are any of the powers in this actually fun to use? All of them look really half-baked.

No, nothing is fun in Balan, especially when a decent chunk of the costumes make you unable to jump.

It will be another story if the game control like a banjoe kanzooe or a crash bandicoot 4. But all character are stiff and clunky

Another low budget one that did it decently was Wario : Master of Disguise. Not the best game but there was some originality in the abilities.

AND it had the same "developed by the same developers who developed these games you like!" schtick. Only difference is, the original Y-L was "meh". Balan is unquestionably, unmistakably, shitty.

you know i actually enjoyed this game, sure I hadn't played Banjo Kazooie in years when I played this, but I enjoyed it, not a masterpiece but like you said its certainly better than Balan

It would be a serviceable game if the controls didn’t suck. They’re probably better than the Balan controls though.

agreed, the controls suck, but it did scratch that Banjo Kazooie itch I had,and I cut the developers some slack since they where technically a small company, but in Balan's case I expect a lot more from Square Enix
