I thought they were a couple? A female and a FtM? I don't pay attention, so now I'm confused.

I probably should have worded that better and been clear but sheepy makes a few eyes (under her melopan market account) and lemon also makes eyes. But when sheepy sells eyes its a similar issue of poor poor quality or slow delivery, same as lemon.

Edit: yes they are are couple as well so you are correct.
I was commenting on why does melon have a separate account for eyes instead of using her main to keep things together and clear, or just selling tgem with lemon but tilting them as her b grades

The latest sculpt from Charm Doll is called Circe and I think she’s pretty cute. It’s a shame I don’t have any money to spend on dollshit at the moment lol

Oh man... I was wandering a BJD page on facebook, I like see how people have customized their dolls, and somebody brought up Angelic Layer. It's an old CLAMP manga/anime about people getting these little dolls that are android which they then fight against each other. It's cute shoujo, no big deal.

And then there's this comment underneath the post:

Lol.

To translate into human, a girl gets into yaoi as a teen, likes looking at bishie boys. Decides she's "genderqueer" because she likes yaoi. Now condems yaoi because she's "queer" and CLAMP is evil for queerbaiting. Good fucking god, get a goddamn life.

(From bjddivas, a doll third party vendor)

((Some small drama, but an interesting event of recasts affecting people's perceptions on legits, and why neutrals who buy recasts should keep their mouth shut. Not because, 'hurr durr, recast bad," but talking about recast shit to vendors is like complaining that your crack dealer has a cold, to a cop. I doubt the complainer is a neutral though, they seem more like a rabid anti recaster))

Hi everyone, We regret having to make this post, however a situation arose recently and we felt the need to present our side of the story, as the individual involved has demonstrated that she may very well misrepresent the events. We were contacted by one of the customers who ordered Shoushou Doll's Niko during the August 2020 discontinuation of Niko version 1. She asked us for an ETA, stating that it has been "almost a year" and "well past the previously quoted time frame". We responded apologizing for the wait, explaining that there have been significant delays due to the pandemic, the large number of orders, and Shoushou being a solo artist. We explained to her as we have explained to everyone asking for a status update that Shoushou only recently dispatched all the dolls and that we're waiting for them to come in.

Furthermore, we informed her that after receiving the dolls, we need to check all of them and send back the ones with defects, and that due to the large quantity (>150+), this entire process will take some time. The customer was unsatisfied and insisted on an ETA, as well as stating, "it’s really awful that illegitimate copiers are getting their dolls before good faith paying customers. I don’t mind waiting but I need some transparency." Despite us having given her all the transparency that we could offer, it wasn't enough. We explained to her again why we weren't able to supply her with an ETA, as international shipping times, especially for things coming in from China, have been all over the place due to the pandemic and its secondary impacts.

Furthermore, we stated that when the Shoushou Doll shipment arrives, predicting when we can go through it all is dependent upon what else arrives in the same timeframe. We re-stated that we are expecting almost 150 dolls to arrive "soon" as indicated by Shoushou. We re-stated that we then have to review all the dolls as we can't forecast if anything was damaged in transit and what might have defects. In addition, since recasts were brought up, we told this customer that comparing a legitimate doll purchase to recast purchases is really not fair, as recasters have grown to the scale of running full on factories and may be located in the same country as the source doll, whereas legitimate artists like Shoushou and small businesses like ourselves are run by very few people. It is awful that recast buyers are getting their dolls earlier than legitimate doll owners, but not for the reasons she stated. We told her that we'd talk with Shoushou about her order. She returned that Shoushou had sent recasters dolls before they sent their customer dolls, and for that reason it's a fair complaint, then told us she needed "more frequent communication going forward."

We filled Shoushou in on the course of events, including the customer's most recent response, and asked Shoushou what they would like done. Shoushou was very sad that their product was being compared to recasts and at the implication that they'd willingly sent their doll to recasters. Shoushou said that we could refund the customer if the customer no longer wishes to wait. We told the customer, "If Shoushou Doll knew that a recaster was receiving one of their dolls, they would definitely not send it.

The reality is that, as we mentioned, the recaster is likely in the same country and therefore has virtually no transit time, further they likely order a plain nude doll and do it as soon as the doll is announced. Either way it has no bearing on the amount of time a given doll takes to arrive to a given customer. It is always the case that each doll is unique and that defects and issues arise that sometimes delay any given custom doll. We did discuss your situation with Shoushou and they have authorized us to offer you a full refund (minus Paypal fees, as those are out of our control) if you no longer want to wait. As far as providing more frequent communications, we already communicate when we have new information, however there is no point (and our small staff would preclude doing so even as a sort of security theatre) in additional communication saying "no more news yet".

Please let us know if you would prefer to wait, or to receive a refund." At this point, the customer posted the most recent response we sent her to a Facebook group. We were informed by members of the group, including those who have access to the customer's edit history. The edit history shows that the customer changed the wording several times to paint herself as someone who was attacked out of the blue and who did not ask for much. She presented herself as being "very very very polite" in how she approached us and again presented it as a situation in which we were being aggressive towards her.

Eventually, she deleted her post. We were informed that most of the commenters did not side with her. She came back with, "I don't mind waiting but again I would like an ETA even if it is a rough estimate. I don't feel that is an unfair request. I'm sure shoushou can provide this information to you." We didn't respond right away, so she wrote again, "It's just frustrating having the complete radio silence and googling information trying to find anything at all just to see "new release" on illegitimate sites. I would like the doll no matter what. I just want clearer communication even if it's on your blog and not sent personally to me. Unfortunately, a small team just isn't an appropriate excuse for being completely radio silent as single person doll studios and companies have been able to do this during the pandemic for their customers. I'm very happy to wait but I would like info on the challenges you are facing even if it is just a blog post saying "we are still having shipping issues" or "we are having delays for these dolls (insert list)" All I'm asking for is the bare minimum in customer service.

Thank you for being so understanding." We were pretty frustrated at the manipulativeness in this latest post due to her implication that we didn't even provide the bare minimum in customer service, especially when she kept demanding what was not possible to give to her. The type of attention she expected from us is simply not possible unless you're a huge corporation with the resources to outsource your labor, and even then it's not feasible. Furthermore, we have been making these blog posts, and our Facebook page is publicly linked from our website.

We responded, "It is impossible to respond in any reasonable manner to every individual's issues in a blog post. We have hundreds of customers, thousands of orders and each doll's circumstances are unique. Any blanket statements would be at best far too generic to be of use and at worst wildly inaccurate. We provide information when we can obtain it, and pursue the various doll statuses with the various doll companies very frequently. It is reasonable to provide information if and only if there is a change in status. This is the norm in the BJD market. If this is unreasonable to you, then the alternative is a refund. This hobby tends to require patience. I wish that the doll companies were able to provide the kind of feedback you desire but the nature of their businesses makes that not feasible, and clearly, when they cannot give us that kind of info on your timeframe then we cannot pass anything on to you.

In essence we can offer you the same amount of information we offer all of our customers or a refund, there is nothing else we can do. Please decide between a refund or exercising patience and let us know your decision." She then sent us three more messages, first informing us that she will wait 5 months if she doesn't hear something. Then, she wrote, "Following up on the previous customer service. I realize we all have bad days and am willing to forgive the rep in question for what I perceived as less than politeness as I assume they were just worn out. Through talking to other customers of your service I became aware of the flooding and packaging issues. and they provided me with a personal social media one of your staff is posting updates on. The posts there really showed me how difficult things had been for you and I am sorry it's been so. I also apologize if you felt that my recast comment was a slight against your company.

It is not. but it was a factor in my frustration as it made clear someone is not communicating with you so that you would be able to forward that on to others including me. In the future I would greatly appreciate just telling me what is going on, or directing me to where I can find general updates. I am very understanding and forgiving and it would help me empathize with your situation. I had asked for blog posts or any general generic company update and would have been overjoyed to have been linked to these social handles to follow for company updates. I really appreciate whoever is posting the social media updates and would like to thank them. It offers some communication which as I have stated helps me to empathize and remain patient." Then, before we had a chance to respond, she said she'd like a refund. We then proceeded to confirm her PayPal e-mail to send the refund, she confirmed it, and then told us she wanted us to remove any public mention of her since she removed public content she posted about us. There was never any public content posted about her, which we tried to inform her about, but again it took several exchanges and didn't sink in. We asked her for a screenshot of what she was referring to so that we could action it, but she did not send us any.

We sent her the refund today. She wrote again to complain about the withheld PayPal fees, which we'd warned her about, as well as telling us to refund her shipping payment. She never paid for shipping payment. I informed her of this, following which she opened a PayPal claim. At this point we blocked her. We are posting this because of this individual's demonstrated proclivity towards misrepresentation and causing drama. We wanted to make a clear record of the actual events here, as we foresee that issues may arise containing inaccurate versions of these events. To this date, through all of our years of service, this customer is one of the two that we've blocked in this manner. Blocking is an action that we will take only for extreme circumstances.

Furthermore, our tone did indeed change from our customary one, this was in response to the customer's insinuations about the artist knowingly sending things to recasters, her refusal to listen to reason, entitlement, manipulation, and overall unpleasant behavior. We will tolerate and overlook most unpleasantry as, ironically, this particular customer pointed out, everyone has bad days, however we will not repeated accept behavior that is unreasonable. Thanks as always for your understanding and support.

Anyone who has access to Bjdivas FB can get info and pictures about delays.

Edit:

I guess that user wasn't on DoA because most info is easy to estimate by viewing the waitlists.
