I think it's because our modern media has no attention span and no working memory. Also everything is knee-jerk reactionary even if everyone and their mother saw the event coming a mile away because ratings. With Trump it's been pretty clear that it's not a matter of if someone will be canned but when and the only reason anyone should have to be salty is if they lost 50 bucks in an office betting pool.

Because leaving thousands of positions empty and then firing the few amount of workers you have isn't the way you run a good government, its a sign that you have no idea what youre doing and just like to surround yourself with sycophants. Bannon already had some interesting things to say about Trump's North Korea strategy.

To me, this is pretty significant. At this point, Trump has lost practically all support in the Congress from moderate and establishment GOP politicians thanks to his comments in regards to C-Ville. This has left him with only the conservative populist crowd still on his side, who he seemed to be playing to through his two controversial press conferences over the past week.

But with Bannon being fired, he's now made a very potent enemy within that camp too. The fact is, he's now to some extent pissing on every major faction that might support him, so who will support him now?
